The late 30s Fords were popular with everyone. As daily drivers, and especially as street rods. And they still are. They look great with their unique grill and timeless styling. As street rods, they have modern running gear that makes them comfortable and reliable with plenty of room for friends to join you on your adventures. This car is presented in a pleasing shade of orange with a custom, tri-tone pin stripe running front to back that is the perfect... compliment to the body lines and orange paint. This is an older build that has been treated well, and still looks better today than many fresh builds. The unique look starts up front with the dramatic, narrow, convex front grill with fine horizontal bars that reaches all the way to the ground. On each side, the headlights flow smoothly into the valley between the hood and the fenders like they were shaped by the wind. The fenders themselves present a wide, bold stance when viewed from the front, and a classic 30's look from the side. That look is enhanced by the vents in the side of the hood and the wide running boards leading back to the rear fenders that mimic the front ones. Body lines swoop down smoothly over the trunk and around the fenders to taper off just over the twin chrome exhaust pipes. Open the door you will find a very nice custom beige interior with splashes of orange sprinkled tastefully about. There are special door panels with pressed in texture, and wood trim around the controls in the armrest that complement the beige and orange nicely. You will be anxious to jump into those scrumptious looking power seats, and then, won't want to get out of them. So, you may want to let your friends into the back seat first so that they can enjoy the ride too. A four-spoke, leather wrapped wheel sits in front of a nicely appointed, orange dash panel with the speedo, tach, and basic engine gauges. Ventilation controls are off to the right-hand side, and rocker switches are set into a fabric lower panel. There is also a Pioneer sound system that is XM and MP3 compatible. If you choose to, there is a great looking removable hardtop that can be installed for protection from the elements, or for long distance cruising to the beach where it can be removed again for local cruising. Under the hood, which is uniquely side hinged, you will find a nicely dressed 350 cubic inch V8 sitting in an engine bay trimmed in orange, and polished as nicely as the outside of the car. Topped by a Vintage V8 air filter housing, it feeds a chromed-out engine that includes polished valve covers, A/C compressor and alternator. Power feeds back through a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive to a solid rear axle sitting on leaf springs with coil over springs and shocks providing a little assistance, and also rake and ride height adjustability. The front suspension is a control arm set up with coil springs, and steering is by rack and pinion. Front disc brakes assure that you can haul this sweet ride down to a stop quickly at need, and the whole car sits on Billet Specialties wheels with 255/35ZR20 tires in the rear and 21545/R17 in the front. Come on down and check out this sweet looking '37 Ford. It's comfortable, looks great, and drives great. You may decide to throw some luggage in the trunk and head out on some adventures with it.
