1972 Ford Bronco V-8 U14 Half cab Uncut Original paint barn find survivor!
1972 Ford Bronco Half Cab Description
Up for sale is a beautiful example of what an early Bronco survivor should be! It is a 1972 Ford Bronco U14 Half cab V-8, 3 speed, P.S. uncut, original paint, original glass, barn find, driver. This truck is an excellent candidate for a full restoration, or you can give it a tune up and drive it as is. This truck comes with the original owners manual, a binder of documents from previous owner, some odds and ends parts, and a soft top. The truck is located in Nordheim Texas. This is an original Texas vehicle and to the best of my knowledge, has never left Texas.Body:It is fairly straight for being a nearly 50 year old truck. If you like patina, you could sit and stare at this thing for hours. It does have some dents and dings as the pictures show. The body lines are very nice, and the doors, hood and tailgate open and close smoothly. It does have some rust but it is minimal for this year Bronco. The bottom of the tailgate has some cancer, as well as the floor boards, and the floor behind the seats where the bulkhead of the cab meets the floor (all pictured). The rockers are dented but not rusted. Inner fenders in the engine compartment and behind the wheels are all good with no rust. The door posts and strikers, inner, upper quarter panels, seams, door corners, and many other places these trucks usually have rust issues are all virtuallyrust free. I would be happy to supply any other pictures to potential buyers. The side markers look to be aftermarket but I do have a brand new full set that goes with it. It is missing the washer spray nozzles, side mirrors, and the front bumper.Interior:The seats need to be recovered but function well. The dash is uncut, but missing the original radio. Window cranks, locks, latches and levers all function as they should. It even has the wiper motor cover and dome light. The dash pad is very weather beaten, and the weather stripping has seen better days. It is missing the chrome horn button, one of the window crank knobs, and the 2 bolts under the dash pad to release the windshield. The 4wheel drive selector boot is there, but loose. The heater is all there but is not hooked up and I have not messed with it. All the glass appears to be original and is in excellent condition with no cracks or bubbling.Mechanical:It has a 302 V-8 (rebuilt according to the supplied documentation), Power steering, 3 on the tree. It runs and drives fine, but could use a tune up. We just drove it around town last weekend. If you are looking at this listing then you realize this is a 50 year old 4x4 truck..... and it drives like one. The brakes work fine and it doesn't really pull, but they can get squishy and could use an adjustment. The clutch feels good and it shifts through all the gears smoothly. The motor is very strong and runs smooth with no noises or knocks. Runs nice and cool like a ford small block should and has good oil pressure. It does have a functioning tank selector that appearsto be aftermarket. The tires have good tread but are sun beaten and have cracks. The 4 wheel drive seems to function well but has only been tested in the driveway.Any and all questions should be asked prior to end of auction and I will answer them to the best of my ability.I can supply more pictures if needed.Winning bidder is responsible for arranging shipping, or local pick up.$500 deposit due at end of auction, remainder due within 7 days.
