The F250 has earned its reputation among truck enthusiasts for many reasons including strength, durability and reliability, and this rugged 1977 F250 checks all the boxes vintage truck buyers are looking for.
1977 was the final year for the "Highboy" version of the F250 that had a divorced transfer case that sits separate from the transmission. F250's built after 1977.5 sat about 4" lower to the ground due to their suspension design. This model year was the only year in which the “Highboy” was installed with the much more modern 351M and 400M engines, and this specific example is fitted with the 351M motor that has been rebuilt to factory specs. In addition, the C-6 automatic transmission shifts excellently as does the 4WD transfer case.
This F250 shows some age patina, but is a very solid rust free platform for an excellent driver or could become even more with a cosmetic refresh. The previous owner bought this truck because of how solid it is and how evident it was that this truck had not lived a hard life like many trucks of this era have.
This particular "Highboy" has been fitted with newer OEM style 16" wheels so that newer Cooper 275/80-16 tires could be installed. The original 16.5" wheels and mud tires were retained so that future owners could reinstall them if they desired. Also removed from the truck, but retained, was the "Sidewinder" winch and front push bar. This truck has also recently received new transmission fluid and filter change, an oil change, full brake system service and a new exhaust system from the exhaust manifold gaskets to the tailpipe. Equipped with power steering that works well, the alignment is also good with new front end steering bushings installed. TRUCK RUNS COOL IN 100 DEGREE DALLAS WEATHER. Mechanically, this truck is quite solid.

Any used vehicle can have normal wear and blemishes. Before placing a bid please read the descriptions thoroughly and view all pictures.
