1969 ford f-250 250 Custom Cab Excellent Condition 390 Big Block
1969 Ford F-250 CUSTOM CAB Description
Up for auction is a 1969 ford f-250 or 250 Custom Cab long bed with a 390 big block followed by a three speed automatic transmission. This truck is a daily driver. It is not a trailer queen and has some rust in the lower front quarter panels, but everything else on the truck is solid. I'm selling this truck for my dad. He bought it about two years ago from a guy that drove it daily for 20 years. It needed some work when he got it so he had the front end replaced with a newer front end with disc brakes from a donor truck, had the master cylinder replaced and added the power booster. The rear are still drum, but have been completely rebuilt with new axle seals, pads, springs, and the rear drums turned. The truck stops on a dime.
The front disc brakes off of the donor were also rebuilt with all new parts. The steering box was replaced with a new unit that makes the truck steer extremely well. The exhaust was also rebuilt from the headers back as it had glass packs and was extremely loud. It is now comfortable to drive and doesn't make your ears bleed. New header gaskets were also installed at that time. The truck has a new battery.
It has a great after market stereo unit in the custom headliner with cd player and four Kicker 4.5's There are no holes cut in the truck for the stereo and the original am/fm radio is still in the dash.
Everything on this truck works... wipers, lights, turn signals, brakes, choke and stereo. The engine runs strong and has plenty of power to turn the big tires in the back. It actually wants to smoke the tires if you leave a light too quickly. It has no problems with the drive train with exception to a small oil leak from the oil pan. It may need a new pan seal.
This is a great daily driver the way it sits. If you're looking for a truck to restore, well, your'e not going to find a better candidate than this one. It has 100% of the parts it came with. Glass is perfect and has a aftermarket rear slider window that came tinted. It does have some bondo in the roof, but I don't know why. I believe the truck may have had a camper on it at one time and may have dented the roof. It was most likely repaired when it was painted many years ago.
This is a great truck that you can get in and drive today. It is very reliable and would be a great candidate for a full restoration if you want to go that route.
Please email me with any questions. This truck is also for sale locally and I do reserve the right to end this auction if it sells local. There is no warranty with this truck. I am willing to help with shipping arrangements if needed. I have sold cars to people all over the world and it has always worked out well. I will not cover the costs of shipping.
Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!!!
