1968 Ford F-100 Description

the proven heavy-duty Ford 300 (ranked #4 best built engine in the world) and the workhorse Warner 4-speed manual transmission, it produces a true feel of power and grit that made these trucks king. Add in the authentic feel of the road w/manual steering and brakes - and you will find how genuine and fun this truck is to experience. The truck runs/drives flawless and I have only added about 20,000 miles over the 6 years I have owned it. The odometer has rolled over and is currently sitting at 18,800 miles. I have replaced/updated a number of needs the first couple of years of ownership to get it to its present turnkey condition which includes: new clutch/throw out bearing-new coil springs-new gas shocks-all new suspension rubber bushings-new king pins-new cab supports-universal joints- new redhead steering wheel box-radiator overflow bottle-rebuilt carburetor-brake drums/pads - new 2-1/2in exhaust w/magnaflow muffler (nice!) new receiver 2-1/4 hitch hidden from view- petronix electronic ignition and coil - K&N air filter- new plugs/caps/filter/fluids- new Ford classic retro 100wt stereo/center speaker (nice) - very light window tint- sliding rear window- magnetic cab fan-compass- custom-made leather steering wheel cover- hidden underneath the top seat cover is the deluxe split black suede/vinyl seat not seen in the pics (super nice!) -fade away under dash cab lights- delay wiper switch (from original-factory 2-speed) Henderson Brothers rust proofing specializing in classic vehicles - new Firestone Destination A/T tires (3-4k)- new rubber bed liner mat as well as existing rhino coating in box - new spare tire- and some new trim chrome. I even added a front sway bar while I was in the mood for spending money. Factory options included full dash gauge package including oil pressure-battery ammeter. Heavy duty rear springs-bodyside moldings/chrome trim. I want to point out this truck is COMPLETE and really needs nothing to enjoy or show. I took passion to take care of this truck and of course the fun of researching the vehicle comes with that. I have acquired the Marti Report- original 1968 owners manual-Ford F100 fact book- Ford dealer comparison brochures as well a complete service manual (very nice) and many other extras- new/old/parts - bumper - cool original Folsom State Prison rear glass, etc etc. While this truck is not a Ranger or a Custom ...you would be aquiring a true stock original farm truck that shows as it did a half a century ago - unmolested from individual personal customizing that most of us could do without! Word of caution though....keep your focus on the road as everyone like to wave or gives thumbs up - no matter where you go! Please ask for more details - I know I forget a few details in the listing and also able to give you a full history on the truck itself. ** Trailer shown in pics is also for sale ** Search under Vintage Teardrop Trailer** *Subject to local sale also*
