1988 Ford Mustang Description

1988 Saleen Mustang Convertible #378, documented and in registry. This car is an original CA mass air car. This is not a clone.

The tasteful modifications to the car were done by the previous owner with roughly 105K on it back in 2010/11. The car has had one repaint to my knowledge. I purchased the car in 2012. Now the car has approximately 125,000 miles. I only drive it on the weekends when it's not raining. This is a well-balanced car and is fun to drive. I get "thumbs up" and compliments every single time I take it out. The car is a head turner. No accident history to report, a clean Carfax report will be provided at time of sale. Engine: The car has a 331 stroker kit (Scat 9000 crank, forged rods and pistons), AFR 165cc, ported with upgraded springs, Comp Cam XE274HR12 cam, pro magnum roller rockers and pushrods, FRPP timing chain, blueprinted oil pump, etc... Original Cobra GT-40 cast upper/lower intake, both ported, 30lb injectors, Pro-M mass air, 70MM Throttle Body. Moroso 7 Quart Pan, Tuned on a Chassis Dyno the engine made 324hp/331ftlbs of torque measured at the rear wheels.

Cooling: Mishimoto aluminum radiator, Spal fan, sensor, and relay, FRPP water pump, 180* t-stat

Exhaust: FRPP shorty headers, Mac Prochamber mid pipe, Dynomax Ultraflow mufflers. Exhaust is ceramic coated in/out from headers through the Prochamber mid pipe.

Transmission/Rear: Tremec 3550 5-speed transmission, Pro-5.0 Shifter w/ Hurst Stick, FRPP Aluminum DS, Quick time bellhousing, Ram clutch, Spec steel flywheel, 3:55's from FRPP, Auburn Posi, Moser hardened axles (fox length to accommodate wheels/tires/brakes)

Tires/Wheels: Nitto 555 Front 245/45 ZR-17 and Rear 275/40 ZR-17 tires on Saleen SC replica wheels.

Brakes: SN95 Hubs, SN95 Cobra 13" front/11.65 rear, DOT 5 Silicone fluid, SN95 Cobra Master Cylinder, Wilwood proportioning valve, new lines.

Suspension/Chassis: Front: Maximum Motorsports Bilstein coilovers, Steeda caster camber plates, AJE K-Member with tubular lower control arms, 2 point strut brace. Rear: Steeda lower control arms, FRPP upper control arms, Bilstein shocks, Koni quad shocks. Chassis: Maximum Motorsports full length subframes, Kenny brown matrix brace and jack rails. Torque boxes welded.

A/C system is all new with R134A components, just needs to be charged and the heater core has been replaced as well.

Stereo: New Clarion deck, MB quart/JL speakers, Image dynamic Subs, (2) JL Audio Amps.

Top is new with a new pump and lines and works well. Also retrofit a convertible headliner as I believe they were not available in '88.

Interior: Recaro LX-C front seats, new carpet, rear seat upholstery and the floor was completely covered in dynamat.

Along with the sale I will include a Saleen Registry Book, Bassani Stainless X-Pipe, Spare Nitto front tire, Saleen Lower Decal Kit, other miscellaneous Mustang parts. The original springs, struts, and wheels are long gone.
