1955 Ford F-100 custom Description

55 Ford F-100 Truck V8 AC PS

This is one of the most beautifully designed and sculpturally balanced trucks of all time but with one minor flaw... Did you ever see the side of a 53-56 ford truck and ask yourself; "Why did they put the front wheel so far towards the rear?" Well look again at a the side of a stock truck, then take one more glance at the side of THIS truck. With little custom details though-out you might miss the fact that the entire front suspension and bodywork had be altered to account for the factory imbalance, by bringing the suspension (and fender cut-outs) are 5.5" forward. Now this truck is built the way it should have been! There are custom modifications throughout this truck so slight that they have to be pointed out: such as the bumpers ends being rolled and retracted close to the body, and as you read on there are other details that you might miss.)

The truck handles and drives with practically no effort with ventilated disc brakes, power steering, air conditioning, custom & comfortable seating and sound deadening throughout the cab.

We made a video, and ifyou've got to see it to get the full idea of how nice this truck is.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ET1UT80vQOk&feature=youtu.be

The 272 V8 had been rebuilt from the previous owner and is a joy to hear and drive with the vintage V8 tones. It has been 100% reliable.

The body is near straight as an arrow and is all metal. The truck HAD surprisingly little rust on it and I had the bottoms of the doors replaced properly with all metal (expand the picture with the door open and see the detail). All the chrome has been replaced or new. The clear coated 1967 Mustang green has beautiful gold metallic, and the pictures really don't show how nice it is. There is a minor dent, so small in the left front fender that will not show up in pictures, (after I tagged something in the garage I had not noticed it for days after using the truck) but just wanted to mention it.

The clean beige (Nutmeg) interior highlights the exterior color and features vintage style upgraded (cold) air conditioning, factory heating, tilt steering column toped of with a vintage wood steering wheel and original Ford center installed, power steering, aftermarket vintage temperature/oil pressure/voltage gauges, including tachometer, vintage style; complete custom (comfortable) interior with embossed Ford logo, headliner, and custom inside door and kick panels, sound deadener and carpet throughout, (The carpet has a couple minor stains)

The AC has been upgraded to R134A refrigerant and has modern rotary style compressor, and pumps out cold with a 3 speed fan and temperature control.

The bed is solid with refinished wood, stainless steel slats. The original tailgate that works as it should and has custom covers as chain guards.

The electrical system has been upgraded to a 12 Volt system.

If you've ever driven a truck with a straight axel front end, and then got a chance to drive this truck, you would feel like you been propelled from the stone age into the Space Age. The Mustang front with theventelateddisc brakes, power steering, and the lowered and stiffened crossmember makes driving this a breeze.

All the tires have about 300 miles on them and has all new shocks and recent front end alignment. The Wheels are not Halibrands but Rare ORIGINAL (and expensive) 1960's Mickey Thompsons!(There is a curb rash on one of the wheels the left front but only on the outside edge)

The fresh base/clear is a 1967 Mustang color and is freshly painted (2018) and looks great. (interestingly, it shines so brightly and has so much gloss, that the pictures actuallydon'tshow how glossy it is.

This truck is from Texas (see 1999 stickers) must have had a charmed life, because there was surprisingly little rust and wear on a 65 year old vehiclebeforewe started the restoration. The underside is overall nice as well.

The engine had been rebuilt before I got the truck and has run very well (flawlessly ) it looks great with the chrome valve covers and "Thunderbird Special" stickers, and chrome air cleaner and has been mostly detailed but the firewall can be further cleaned for show quality, in other words just tinkering, if you want to take it to the next level. It has been upgraded to a 12 Volt high amp ford alternator. The power steering and AC pumps have been tucked down low, for a nice and vintage look.

To date the speedometer is not working, this I intend to have repaired or credit the new owner.

Frankly I'm buying a property and need the ready cash, so I'm a motivated seller. As you can see I was going for a vintage yet stock looking truck, and it couldn't be replaced for the Buy-it-now price if you ask someone to do it this way. The axel moved forward and the accompanying body work is about a $12k upgrade alone. This truck is fresh and ready and is at about half the price of similarly packaged 53-56 and one tenth of the finest of 53-56 trucks(and they lack some of the features of this truck). I'm not saying this is perfect by any means, BUT it is REALLY NICE, and you can drive this into a show or cruise night, next to the nicest vehicle there, and be proud and completely happy with this truck. That being said; we'll call it a VERY nice driver. And if you've been looking to fulfill your dreams of owing a classic vehicle; these 2nd generation F100 trucks have proved to be great investments over the years and should be a sound investment for the future that you can be proud of, and enjoy.

If interested I have a 46 International pick up with a Cummins, and a 39 Chevy Pick up with a 5.0 too, that I would consider selling.

Please come out and check the it out before you buy, if you can't make it; there are lots of clubs in the area, and you can have a club member give you an honest evaluation of the truck, I will accommodate and respect their opinion to you. I believe once you have it checked, you'll be the buyer. As you can see I have 100% star rating from e-bay. I'll give you straight answer on any questions you have for me. 215 7952616 Thanks Wayne
