1931 Ford Phaeton Description

This is a really nice 1931 Ford Phaeton built by Glassic Industries and only has 11,000 Miles. This car is a early production number with a chassis number of 171. The car was built in the Glassic factory in West Palm Beach FL in 1966. Glassic industries had a deal with International for them to deliver the complete chassis to the Glassic factory and then they built the Pheaton on the chassis. The chassis are International Scout based including drive trains and are RWD. This of course make the cars much more drivable then a original 1931 chassis. The 4 cylinder International motor in this car runs like a sewing machine and has a very nice aesthetic appearance. The floor mounted 3 speed transmission shifts great and very easy to drive. The interior is very clean and in great condition and the Convertable top is also nice and undamaged. This car has full side curtains that are new s well. The hood and hood side panels are removable if you prefer the open engine look. The dash has all standard gauges such as water temp, oil pressure, volts, fuel and a Speedo. The wire wheels are in great condtion and the tires are new. The fiberglass body and all the Chrome is in very good condition and the paint looks good.

This car is a absolute pleasure to drive and draws a crowd wherever it goes. The later model drivetrain really makes it a drivable car and its a ton of fun. The only made about 1,600 of these at the Glassic factory over a several year period. The parts for the chassis and drivetrain are very easy to find should parts ever be needed.
