1968 Ford F-100 Sport Custom Description
You are looking at buying a solid start to a restoration or maybe a light restoration. Its not a everyday driver for me but ill get her out when the weather is nice or if one of my other vehicles breaks down. I have put many new parts on her, vacuum advance, tall aluminum valve covers, master cylinder, all 4 brake cylinders and springs, 40% of the brake lines are brand new. 12in edelbrock filter kit, spark plugs, wires, newer, wired the electric choke up, cut a lot of the wiring out and shortened it up to make it look little better under the hood. She soundsnice and pretty mean if you ask me. This one doesnt have a brake booster but the brakes work very well. It is a very solid start for a rebuild. My uncle is a mechanic and he said he was shocked the condition it was in. He said someone had to store it inside most of its life for as little rust is on it and being in ohio. There is some rust hear and there but she is pretty solid. May want to cut out few spots here and there and patch it but only if your doing a complete restore. The motor is not original. I believe it came out of a 72 f250. Also it has a sun visor on it that fits and looks nice. This came off a 70s f150 as well. If you do not want the sunvisor i will knock another $250 off the price of the truck. Also has bed rails which where not factory either. Here is the bad part about the truck. I would give here a good paint job if your serious about a restore. I liked it the way it was its an old truck suppose to have some character. The guy i bought it off of daughters backed golf cart in passenger side and dented it pretty bad at the bottom of door and little bit of fender. He bought 2 doors and cut a patch panel out of the bottom of one of them and never got to patch it. Also he filled in the body line on the bed. He said he didnt like it. He did a terrible job. I can show you the body line is not rusted when you come to look. I dont know what he was thinking. The thermostatis not hooked up, and the oil sensor is stuck on, oil pan does leak a little, and so does the transmission pan. I usually check it every once in while and top her off. Sometimes its hard to get the shifter to go down when in park but it does work and most the time with ease as it should. DOn't know why it does it. You will get a machine set of outlaw american racing rims on the truck. Which is in the picture on the rear driver side and not the ones one the front. Upon purchase I will put those rims and tires back on the truck.
