1985 Ford Country Squire Wagon. 1 owner estate car
1985 Ford Other Description
1985 Ford Country Squire Wagon. 5.0 early fuel injection with AOD transmission. This Wagon is truly a 1 owner 1 titled Wagon since new. It was sold at an estate sale and comes with the Original title from when it was sold on April 10,1985 at Morande Ford in Berlin Connecticut. Wagon had been sitting for some time and needed a good once over, cleaning and detail to get it up to road worthy status. The mileage shows 45,140. This could possibly be the original mileage as the driver seat and pedals appear to be that of an original mileage car however it does have only a 5 digit odometer. I do not know the entire history of this car but I do know it to be a 1 titled owner car. Several hours were spent cleaning this car however I purchased it virtually the way you see it in the photos. The engine starts and runs flawlessly. No unusual noises, smoke or leaks. The transmission shifts through the gears without any issues. The undercarriage is in excellent condition with no holes or rot in the floors or frame. A very solid car front to back. The brakes work well however the pedal is a bit soft. There are no leaky brake lines or anything like that. The car does stop fine. The tires all hold air with great tread however are starting to show signs of weather checking. The car is equipped with factory dual exhaust that is in useable condition. The car runs quietly. The best part of this car in my opinion is the tow package. It has a very large hitch installed and comes with a hidden air compressor for the rear air shocks to help stabilize heavy loads. The engine is equipped with an aftermarket remote mount oil cooler to keep the engine cool on those long hauls. The car is equipped with the much desired 3rd row seating. The rear gate works great and the rear window is power controlled and works good. The car is equipped with power windows, locks and cruise control. The interior is in excellent condition. No rips in the plush seats. The carpet is in good shape as well. There are no cracks in the dash. The blinkers are intermittently not working as is the horn not working. The wood grain Vinyl is in near perfect condition with virtually no rips or nicks. The paint still shines like new in most places with very minor wear and tear. There is very minor nicks and chips here and there but nothing major. There is also very minor rust/paint chips on the wheel wells. It is hardly noticeable. I listed the flaws so new owner will not be surprised however these flaws are truly very minor. This is not a 10 points Wagon or a Barret Jackson auto however it is a great running, driving, 3rd row, 1 owner woody wagon. This car is not perfect. Expect flaws from a 1985, please be realistic. I have watched the value of these wagons rise recently and seen them sell from anywhere from $3500 needing full resto to $9100 in good driving condition. This car is somewhere between these numbers. It can be driven as you tinker to make it perfect or just drive it as is. Please only bid or buy if you have funds and are serious about buying. I am very easy to deal with and am quick with communication. Upon full payment the car can be stored here as long as possible for shipment or pickup. No storage fees or any non sense. Serious buyers feel free to contact me with a reasonable offers. International buyers welcome. Someone will own this car at a reasonable price... good luck
