1966 Ford Fairlane 500 Description
This 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 2-door hardtop was restored by its second Georgia owner after he purchased it from a friend. It has records dating back to the first owner - I am the third owner. The car has never seen snow, salt, or winter weather, and is not winter-driven. It is kept covered and inside a garage. The exterior is dent-, rust-, and scratch-free and has been repainted in a bright red color (originally Wimbeldon White), while the interior has been redone in the original red pleated vinyl. The original engine has been rebuilt, with a mild cam and an Edelbrock manifold with a 4bbl carb. With the dual exhaust system, the car has a great burbly sound, runs great and looks very beautiful. I have shown the car only a couple of times, and it has done well.
I am selling the Fairlane along with two other collector cars (1966 Mustang convertible and 2001 Corvette convertible) and a very rare motorcycle (1981 Honda CBX), reducing my collection as I have become handicapped as a result of an accident. The pictures tell the story, as this is a special great-looking, great-runing, well cared-for automobile. I have many more pictures of the car, including interior, trunk, and under-hood. Contact me with questions.
