1991 Ford F350 Dually, Crew-Cab, Turbo Diesel
1991 Ford F-350 XLT Crew Cab Description
I purchased this great truck from the original owner's wife several months ago with the intent to keep it for a long time. Now I need to sell it due to losing my storage spot. The Owner was a Diesel Mechanic who worked on Diesel Emissions systems for Big Rigs so he knew his stuff. It's never been smoked in and he babied it and changed the oil every 3000 miles. I even have the original "build sheet". The Achilles heal on these trucks is the Cooling System, it needs to haveDiesel Cooling System Additive (CSA) or it may experience cavitation. He always made certain to keep CSA in the cooling system, so no problem. I keep CSA in it as well. I paid 5K and just put 3K+ into it to get it running great. It only has 90,000 original miles on it and that's verified with Car-fax and through the California DMV Registration. The Banks Turbo makes this baby get up and go! It really flies down the freeway. Around town it has plenty of quickness. "Smooth and powerful" It's a Dually and it will pull a house! There is no play in the steering and it tracks straight and true down the road. The Ford (AOD) Automatic Over Drive transmission shifts perfectly. It downshifts when needed does it's job by finding and staying in the correct gear. I added sound deadening to the doors and now it's like a quiet, modern diesel. It's easy to talk on the phone or listen to the radio. No diesel drone. The interior is a 9 out of 10. As you can see from the pictures; the seats, doors, carpet, door panels, headliner and dash are all in excellent condition. The seats (no tears) and carpet have always been covered. There are no cracks in the dash or doors or anywhere. Everything works except the fuel gauge for the front fuel tank. Both fuel tanks work fine, but just the rear tank registers fuel. I use the front tank for about 150 miles then switch to the rear. I am told this is a $200 fix but I forgot to get it done the last time I had it in with my mechanic (Dynamic Diesel, Yucaipa CA).Everything else works: Tachometer, Speedometer, Temp Gauge, Battery Charging Gauge, Oil Pressure Gauge, Cruise Control, Horn, Windows, Blinkers, High and Low Beam Lights, Automatic Door Locks, Interior Dome Light, Dash Lights, Running Lights, Wipers and Washer, Radio, Turbo Boost Guage, Exhaust Temp Gauge, Air Conditioning (from all vents), Heater (from all vents) and anything else that is on it.New Tires (four are new two have 80% tread)New Fuel InjectorsNew Glow PlugsNew Glow Plug Controller (it works) It starts right up every time.New Fuel Return LinesNew ThermometerNew Air Conditioning CompressorNew Air Conditioning Accumulator/DrierNew HosesNew BeltsOil Just ChangedTransmission Fluid Just ChangedFront End and All Lubible Parts LubedBrakes Checked and AdustedSuspension and Spring and Shocks CheckedCleaned and Oiled the Air Filter (it's a K&N with a Banks Logo)
