1956 Ford Popular. A few trim differences, but this is essentially the same as a ’48 Anglia. These were originally built with rust from the factory, so to find one in this condition is remarkable, and have gotten extremely hard to find. Most have issues with the top opening, rockers, and bottom of the “B” pillars, but not in this case. Additionally, the feature line near the tops of the doors don’t line up with the line on the quarters on many of these cars. Sometimes it’s a hinge problem, but many times it’s because the area behind the “A” pillar is rotted, and the entire door jamb is weak causing the door to sag. Take a close look at the pictures and you will find none of that on this example. If you are looking to do a pro-street project, old school gasser or hot rod it's doubtful you’ll find a better start than this.
Should go without saying, but this car is a NON-RUNNER, and it will need to be TRANSPORTED to your location at your expense. I am happy to assist your transporter in loading and logistics but finding and arranging a suitable carrier is the responsibility of the winning bidder.
