1967 Ford Ranchero Description

I bought this car from a neighbor before he sold his home. He bought this car used in 1971 and has had it since (I have the pink slip from 1971).
In the last 10 years I've known him he's pretty much just started it up and driven it around the block every few months but never really used it. About 5-6 years ago his daughter drove it but hit a post coming down the driveway and dented the driver's side fender. The damage is just to the fender and I have the trim pieces. He told me the 73k miles are original, but I have no way of verifying it. It has a 289 V8 that starts up and runs well, but probably needs some normal maintenance (adjusting carb/new belts/etc..). The 3 speed column shift works great and the clutch is smooth. Drives well, but it's a 1960s car and drives like one.
The only things I did to it since I got it was replace the two front shocks since the old ones were blown and replace a valve cover gasket since oil was leaking from it onto the manifold. I only drove it once, about 20 miles and it did fine, didn't overheat or have any other issues. It hasn't been driven regularly for a long time, though.
The interior is nice for its age. Looks like he had a new carpet and headliner installed and the heater/vents/lights/gauges all work properly. Even the AM radio works! Though the speaker needs to be replaced and the dash pad is cracked. The bench seats look good.
It hasn't been restored so it's more of a "survivor" and he said it has the same paint as was on there in 1971. Stuff like seals and rubber parts probably would need to be replaced since many are from the 1960s. Nice California car. The only sign of rust I saw was under the battery tray (probably from leaking battery acid). I didn't do any kind of thorough inspection, though.
My guess is you know more than I do about these cars, so feel free to ask any questions. It looks like a nice solid example that could easily be cleaned up and used as a daily driver or used as a solid start to a nice project. You're welcome to come inspect it or have someone inspect it if you'd like.
It's for local pickup in the Santa Cruz, CA Area, but if you'd like it shipped that's fine as well. You just have to arrange that yourself.
