Description- This fully customized 1932 Ford roadster pickup was built by hot-rod builder Jim Lowrey. There was no expense spared on this one-of-a-kind pickup finished in Washington Blue with custom red pin stripingand full two-tone red and white leather interior and coordinating tonneau cover.
The high-quality fit, finish and components used on this hot rod are indicated by the awards this vehicle has won, including the 2014 Street Rod Nationals Top 100 Pick. This roadster pickup is ready to turn the key and enjoy with less than 600 miles since its completion. It is powered by a 341ci DeSoto HEMI engine equipped with Edelbrock dual-quad carburetors, its original intake manifold, polished chrome valve covers, chrome vintage-look air cleaners, chrome coil and a high-torque starter.
Putting that power to the pavement is a GM 700R4 automatic transmission with a Currie finned and polished rear end, Genie shifter and polished driveshaft. This roadster is equipped with So-Cal finned and polished front disc brakes, Pete and Jakes chromed front and rear shocks, Super Bell dropped axle, wishbone with reversed I-spring, rear drum brakes, Model A crossmember rear suspension with rear springs and chromed 3-link.
The customized Brookville metal body rests on a customized Brookville chassis and features a chopped and laid-back windshield frame and posts, custom shortened bed with oak planks, custom bed tie-downs, custom 1932 gas tank with rear frame rail filler, guide headlights with turn-signal kit mounted on the chrome headlight bar, and 1937 Ford taillights with custom chrome-plated brackets. It rides on Vintage wheels in Poppy Red with 1946 Ford hubcaps and BF Goodrich tires.
Additional features on this hot rod include Steward Warner gauges set into an auburn dash panel, Flowmaster HushPower II mufflers, custom front and rear bumpers, and a custom finned hood with red pin striping.
