1962 Ford Galaxie Woody Wagon Description

2nd owner, Incredible original factory paint and upholstery! Famous industrialist, CEO of TRW original owner, placed it in his Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum when he turned 90 in 1980 with 70,496 miles. I purchased it 8 years ago from said Museum. Sam Foose, my neighbor at the time, did the tire-wheel and stance. (easily reversed to stock) I added A/C and disc brakes. I have had 14 Woody wagonsfrom the 30's to the 50's, this one garners more trophies, respect and attention than all the others combined. For example even I didn'tknow I wanted one until about 9 years ago while attending Barrett Jackson I saw the one sell for $63,000 plus commission. Another similar one however it was a 1961 sell for $57,000 at Pebble Beach both of those cars were restored. If you have kept up on what's hot in the collectible world, hands down, excellent unrestored original condition is topping the charts for value. Why buy a modern SUV for the same price I'm asking only to see the modern one plummet in value, all the while with miles of smiles the classic keeps going up and up? For instance in 1999 I purchased a gorgeous 1946 Ford Woody for $35,000 instead of a 1999 Ford Expedition same $35k, what is a 1999 Expedition worth today? I'm sacrificing because my plane is in the shop and I am having to buy an additional one to run my multi-state business. If I find other financial means to purchase the plane. I will no longer sacrifice our beloved "Tin Woody", the grandkidswant it and will probably end up with it. It has the FE 352 Cubic Inch engine Cruise 0 Matic doesn'tsmoke or burn oil, however main seals leak. trans shifts as it should and it comes with both sets of rims. NO RUSTEVER anywhere, No rust on frame and chassis. NO TRADES AND I DON'T NEED HELP SELLINGIn order to answer Some questions that have come up, If I had a way to get it up in the air I would have included pictures of the chassis. First if you know the the TV Show "Overhaulin" with Chip Foose then you are familiar with the pro shop quality, Chips' Dad Sam Foose has been customizing cars since the 40's Chip and Sam with several Ridler awards as well as Worlds most beautiful Roadster several times if you arent familiar with their World class workmanship, simply google the names as well as google The Woody Paradise to see some of my collection...that should answer any concerns of integrity and quality. Now for specifics; uses a quart every 3000 mile oil change. recently added Lucas stop leak and it slowed the leak down considerably The disc brakes were a simple bolt on assembly no brand name, stock A-arms no cutting other than Sam cut 1 &1/2 coils up front to put back stock would require 2 new coils up front and remove the lowering blocks in the back. No cutting of original firewall, frame or anything else, also note factory chalk mark on left side firewall. Haven't needed to add Freon, probably 134 but not sure that was 8 years ago when I first got the car. The factory original Raven Black Paint as noted on vin tag is in fact original factory applied however I had it color sanded and buffed as well as the hood was resprayed. The seat covers are also all factory installed 1962 original
