1932 Ford 5 Window Coupe Description

Up for bid is the 1932 Ford 5-Window coupe known as The Chemical City Coupe.

This iconic hot rod was built in 2013 as joint effort between myself and JoKerr Fabrication of Brownsburg, Indiana.

This coupe was awarded a Street Rodder Magazine Top 100 award winner and a Hot Rod of the Year Finalist for 2013. It was also on the cover of Street Rodder Magazine in March of 2014. It won the prestigious Best Hot Rod Award at the 2nd annual Rodder’s Journal Revival in 2014. Since its debut the car has continued to win numerous awards and appeared in several magazines in the U.S., Canada and Europe. The coupe is also very well-known online. This car was built to be driven hard. It features an original Henry Ford Steel body that was chopped 5.5 inches and had the windshield laid back for a more aggressive appearance.

The body was place on a heavily modified 1932 Ford chassis featuring full torsion bar suspension on the front and rear. This offers adjustability and an improved ride while retaining traditional styling. The front of the chassis has been bobbed and pinched. It features an ultra-rare Ford V8/60 axle, 1940 ford brakes and 1934 Ford shocks.

The drivetrain consists of a 401 Buick Nailhead engine with an Offy dual quad intake and Edelbrock carbs. It has and big Iskenderian cam and is probably the best sounding Nailhead you will ever hear. The transmission is a World-class T5 5-speed manual with a hydraulic clutch. The rear end is an original aluminum Halibrand Champ quick-change with magnesium bells.
