Watch the video of this 1957 Ford Skyliner here. Just click on the above sentence Since the new long block engine was installed in 2010, there have only been approximately 4000 miles logged on it. The upholstery was nicely done with it's wide pleats, and black piping, it looks good. There is still some restoration needed on the dash area. It looks very original and not touched during restoration. The owner concentrated on mechanicals more than anything. Aftermarket gauges have been added under dash for added piece of mind. A Vintage Air aftermarket a/c unit was installed and is working. The 460 engine with it's Holley 4bbl carburetor, runs very well. There is a C-6 Auto transmission a new custom custom driveshaft. It appears that the frame was cut and an X member was added to strengthen the frame. We do notice there is Bondo on the rocker panels, but did not find any any noticeable rust. The windshield does have a major crack and has started to delaminate. We have receipts dating back to 1969 and more photos of the car before restoration. The retractable hard top has new rubber seals and has been completely gone over, replacing any parts that were needed to make it operate smoothly. Watch our video to see it in action. There are 2 areas on the fender stainless where the car was strapped to a trailer when first purchased before restoration. They were never repaired.
