1984 Ford E-Series Van Description

1984 FORD E-150 Econoline Conversion Van

The van has been sitting for a couple of years.

It fires right up and the engine runs strong with no smoke or unusual noises.

Two bad things:

1) The automatic transmission: Put it in Park and it stays in Park. Put it in Drive and it goes forward. Put it in Neutral and it goes forward. Put it in Reverse and it goes forward. I don’t know why it won’t go into reverse. So, bid accordingly.

I checked and you can get a good used transmission delivered to your door for $825 or delivered to a shop for $750.

2) The brakes don’t work. I have included a brand new master cylinder (see photo) for you to install. So, bid accordingly.

The van would make a great work van that you won’t mind scratching or denting on the job site. Or use it for towing your boat so you don’t ruin your good truck.

I do have the back seating and the bench seat, all need upholstery redone, but the bones are good. Let me know if you want them and I’ll get them out of storage and put them in the van for you.

The lights, directionals, wipers, horn, and heater controls work fine. The air-conditioning and radio don’t work.

The doors close solid and the windows roll up and down with ease. There are side curtains in the back.

The van has only 133,972 miles. That’s only about 4,000 miles per year!

Make the repairs and you’ll have a good, inexpensive kicking-around truck for work, the farm, or towing. It has a heavy-duty hitch and an adjustable electric trailer brake actuator. Power steering and power brakes (remember, brakes not working).

NOTE: The photos make the van look prettier than it is. So, bid accordingly.

I am holding a clear, lien-free, title in my name.

Good luck!
