Now that the old man winter has already dealt his worst blow, ost of us who have survived are already dreaming about spring time {which is right around the corner)!

There have indeed been temperatures already which have reached the upper 70’s here in the Mid West!

Besides warmer temperatures it would seem that God created this season for Ford fans to dust the cobwebs off of the car covers & pull those classic Mustangs out of the garage!

I will briefly try to establish why I think this vintage two owner pony is probably one of the better classic cars to hit the road with!

Owning a classic Mustang can be extremely fun! Buying one is truly exciting & great idea!

However this super sharp Mustang is not only a smart buy, t is also an amazing investment!

This Vintage Ford is pretty special.

First off this vehicle hails from St. Louis Missouri & has never left its home state!

It has a DSO of (55)…..Saint Louis Mo.

It was actually delivered to Sherwood Ford in the suburbs North County (Florissant) Mo.

The original owner worked at the Ford plant in Hazelwood Mo. Where for quite some time he had made a vow to purchase a Mustang. However he wanted to order it (made to his taste).

Finally in the summer of 1967 he contacted his superior & did just that.

The Mustang that you see pictured here was the fulfillment of his dream.

The second owner (whom I talked with regularly) stated that the original owner struggled with the decision of whether to order the car black or Sunlit Gold.

Eventually he chose Gold (certainly the right choice)! He stated that after much consideration it seemed just to be more pleasant to look at. By all accounts he was right on the money! Everyone who has seen the car absolutely LOVES it!

If you are sick of the status quo red, lack & blue cars that plague the road consider this one the cure.

The color is pretty RARE and truly striking!

The exterior looks incredible & must be seen to be appreciated!!!

The exact shade & color of the car is unique and at first blush comes across subtle in nature.

That being said it always seems to catch everyone’s attention.

In direct sunlight the car looks light gold metallic! However if you stand approximately twenty feet or so away from it tends to be a soft golden bronze!

The paint on the car is very uniform and smooth to the touch. Compliments are always more than plentiful!

People at each and every corner can’t help but acknowledge you by either giving you thumbs up or waving!

It almost seems common place to have complete strangers snap pictures with their camera phones & ask questions.

This pony has only been painted once outside of its original covering. That took place approximately three years ago by a member of Wise Speed shop in South St. Louis.

The task took several weeks to complete.

Although the job was incredibly expensive & time consuming the customers’ patience was rewarded! The finished product was nothing less than amazing.

Upon inspecting this pony cars exterior you will find no areas of damage or amateur body work to report.

This stallion looks great from all angles!

The second owner actually won several trophies from entering it in a few local car shows.

He truly cherished the car! There were family photos with captions of the car in it.

A personal favorite was the picture of his parents sharing their 31st anniversary in the car.

It is still proudly displayed on their mantle above the fire place.

They cruised to their favorite restaurant which they had frequented several times through the years. The valet parking attendants also took a picture of them in the car that still hangs on the restaurants wall (smiling of course)!

Again this Mustang has a rich history and a thorough family background!

After the paint was applied the owner went all out to make sure the car would be presentable in every way!

All of the chrome appointments on the car were restored. They are in stellar condition!

The front & rear bumpers are in excellent shape as well!

They were both replaced with quality N.O.S. sanctioned ones!

The emblems on this Mustang were also replaced!

Each emblem is also M.C.A (Mustang Club of America) approved pieces!

The window edge moldings still have plenty of life left & them as well!

The head light bucket trim, rill edge moldings & chrome back up light retainers are all in incredible shape and look fantastic!

The iconic turn signal performance hood screams 1968 & takes us back to a time when things were simple & fun!

One of my favorite attributes on this Ford is the Raven Black vinyl top! The top is in excellent shape & provides great contrast against the bright exterior!

SHOW OR GO!!!

Now that we have had time to discuss this vintage Mustangs exterior let’s see what she has to offer inside!

Upon opening the door of this pony you will find a very inviting interior!

This old Ford was actually ordered with the beautiful (8-A) crinkle knitted black vinyl upholstery!

The interior is in excellent shape & it coincides well in conjunction with the exterior.

The original front bench seat is very unique & a favorite among Mustang collectors!

The seat covers are magnificent shape! Almost every stitch of the interior was restored Ala cart over the last few years. A stitch or two probably have seen better days but for the most part this pony looks incredible inside & out!

The lion’s share of the work was performed at (Old town Upholstery) this company specializes in restoring top notch classic cars!

The seat cushions, ower lumbar & back supports were reinforced with the best material available (ordered from Tony Branda).

The rear seats are also in excellent condition & look as if they have almost never been used!

There has been no stone left unturned in regards to pampering this Ford!

You will be more than encouraged to take this pony out for a cruise! Driving it for hours on in is a sheer pleasure!

The dash pad is original to the car. It is in fantastic condition and also free from damage.

This Mustang also has a very nice set of factory standard door panels!

The door panels are in great condition & they both have new window cranks, oor handles and other hardware attached!

The inner quarter upholstery has been well taken care of and constantly protected by Mothers VLR cleaner!

From front to rear this Mustangs interior plays its part well. There is a functional cd player up front to enjoy your favorite tunes with & a beautiful packing tray located in back!

All of the surrounding glass in the car is damage free! The front & back windshield are in pristine shape!

This Mustang has a beautiful shifter securely fashioned inside!

Not with standing……this pony comes with a working air conditioning system!

This little accommodation a fantastic addition for the upcoming spring & summer seasons!

Finally expect to find a super nice steering wheel to grip when operating this blue Oval!

It sometimes seems nearly impossible to find a classic Mustang with all of the gauges working…… “no worries here” this Mustangs gauges are operating as they should”!

The carpet in this beauty is in immaculate condition & the kick panels are sharp as well!

You will also find a nice set of pony floor mats working overtime to make sure the car underneath your feet is well protected “nice addition”!

You can also expect to find a super nice head liner with a nice factory dome light!

All & all the interior of this Mustang is in wonderful shape!

This is truly a stand up vehicle that is ready to be enjoyed!

This little Mustang really takes you back to 1968 each & every time you climb behind the wheel!

It’s the small things that really make this Ford a good candidate to add to your collection (or first classic car for someone looking to get into the game).

The trunk can easily be over looked but it shouldn’t be! A Rusty trunk floor can be a nightmare ….no worries here this one is rock solid & it has a very nice molded trunk mat too boot! The mat not only looks fantastic, t also shields the trunk from inclement weather!

Now that I have given several reasons why you should love this Ford…… I will talk about yet why most Chevy guys hate it!

No Mustang can truly be considered a muscle car without having a factory V/8!

The heart and soul of this horse is its STOUT factory 289 engine! The factory engine block was rebuilt in 2013!

THIS PONY RUNS STRONG!!!!

The motor has plenty of giddy up and simply LOVES the open road!

This vintage Ford will push you back in the seat if you open the throttle!

Although the car is very user friendly ….it still has enough power to command street respect!

She turns over with just a flick of the key at the slightest touch!

You really have to drive this one to appreciate it.

LET’S FIRE HER UP!!!

Hitting the freeway in this Mustang is simply exhilarating! There are no issues when cruising this baby for any distance or at any time! The car almost has a modern feel to it when considering how well she handles. Whenever you reach your point of destination she leaves you begging for more!

There have been several suspension components replaced to help ensure you have a comfortable ride….one good enough to take the wife out in.

This Mustang still has all of the hallmark decals in place that Ford designated the car to have before being released.

There is a new radiator installed that helps keep it cool under the hood!

Preventative maintenance has not been overlooked either.

The car has recently had new plugs, ires, ap, otor, ater pump, hermostat, askets, eals, uel pump, il sending unit, attery, adiator hoses, elts, tarter installed and just too much more to list!!!

There are no words that can explain how wonderful it feels to know you can hit the road in confidence! Some owners fail to invest in their classic car where it counts. Again no worries here …this Mustang has stood the test of time!

As if it couldn’t get any better “if you buy this car without your wifes permission” you’ll have no problem making it to the local motel!

Seriously…..If you have been looking for a classic Mustang that you can enjoy without issue “look no further”!

The car has had the brake system totally gone through. The system was just serviced recently and given a clean bill of health.

If you’re looking for a muscle car that makes a subtle appearance “look elsewhere”!

This pony can be heard coming! That is thanks in part to its dual exhaust system with chambered 40 series Flow Master mufflers! They sing a sweet note each and every time you mash the pedal!

Talk about Nostalgia!

To top things off there is a excellent set spank brand new 17 inch Torque Thrust style Ralley wheels (Bull Dog aggressive stance)! Restomod look that “stops traffic”!

These mags don’t have a single scratch on em!

Every guy driving a modern muscle car can’t help but point & give you the ole thumbs up in honor of respecting the cars that started it all!

This Mustang also has a set of brand new HT Performance radials at all four corners! The tires don’t have 40 miles on them so this Mustang is ready for years on trouble free performance!
