1966 Ford Thunderbird Convertible “Thelma and Louise”

Up for sale is my beloved 1966 Ford Thunderbird Convertible, Tahoe Turquoise (original factory color, older repaint) with original Pearl White interior, 390 V8. This car was a gift, a fulfillment of a dream, from my husband who passed away last year; so it has meant a lot to me and I’ve had much work done on the car to keep it running well.It was my regular driver until acquiring another car, and it has been extremely reliable and runs strong.

What I've done since purchasing the car:

-Replaced battery

-Replaced water pump

-Horns replaced

-Shocks replaced

-New brakes

-New power brake booster

-Suspension work

-Regular oil changes and fluid maintenance

-New upper and lower radiator hoses

-New front tires

-Exhaust system replacement

-New power steering gearbox

-Alignment

-Power convertible top was repaired earlier this month by Ken Harkema, a Thunderbird expert in the San Diego area, where he replaced two gears and a motor, and works flawlessly

Fully functional features:

-Power windows

-Swing away steering wheel

-Smooth shifting transmission

-Smooth acceleration with plenty of power

-Windshield wipers

-Solid undercarriage

-Power driver’s seat

-Sequential Turn signals, lights, high beams, brake lights

The following things to be addressed:

-Brakes are great but booster sticks a little

-Foam in front seats starting to deteriorate

-Small rust holes in trunk, area under spare tire repaired by previous owner

-Minor bubbling near back window area

-Chips on edges of the doors near the handles, small shallow dent near hood and chip on passenger door

-Minor oil leak

-Minor power steering leak

-Windshield washer not connected

-Backup lights

-Needs new antenna, radio static

The car is an absolute stunner, cleans up beautifully, and never ceases to be admired wherever it goes.It absolutely floats down the highway.
