1991 Ford Other LX Description

Regrettably, I am selling my beloved 1991 Ford LTD Crown Victoria Country Squire wagon. This car is a true time capsule, and gets more compliments and comments than any vehicle I've ever owned. I bought it from a dealer in Pennsylvania about a year ago and have put over 3,000 miles on it since.I have a clean title, clean Carfax, Deluxe Marti Report, and a bunch of detailed service records going back 10 or so years to go with the car along with 3 sets of factory original keys.I just changed the oil, checked all fluids, replaced the radiator cap, replaced the leaky a/c compressor and converted it to R-134A. The tires are almost new and the vehicle had just received a comprehensive service by the dealer which I bought it from.

The car is loaded, with power door locks, power windows, power driver's seat, a/c, cruise control, and even the clock (which also displays the date upon startup) works flawlessly. The illuminated keyholes and lamps in the sunvisors work. All gauges work great, though the odometer has been changed to one which shows EXACTLY 30,090 more miles due to a faulty gear indicator which is a known problem for these cars. I have the paperwork indicating when and where this was done and that the car showed 104,512 miles on the original odometer. It also has the tow package, which gave it dual exhausts (which look to have been replaced fairly recently) and the Traction-Lok rear end from the factory with 3.55 gears. The factory 5.0 V8 starts and runs beautifully and the trans (which benefits from a full rebuild in 2010) shifts great. The factory radio and cassette player work fine, though the speakers are original and not the greatest-sounding. Power steering, suspension and brake systems are without issue. Those who are familiar with the Ford "Panther" platform know how quiet and smooth these cars are on the road.

The tan cloth upholstery is immaculate and the carpets are great, with the only staining being on the removable rear piece of carpet in the cargo area. There is no sagging in the headliner. The dash and door panels are all amazing. The optional rear "way back" seats are pristine and look as though they've never been sat in. All the glass is unscratched, and the power rear glass operates from the key switch on the door and a power switch on the dash. Rear window defrost works as does the two-way tailgate.

This car is nearly 30 years old and though it retains its original paint, drivetrain, and interior, it's not perfect. There are some minor bumps and scrapes on the body, and two VERY small spots of surface corrosion where the paint has been eaten away on the inside rear of the left and right rear fender. This is the ONLY rust on the car. The trim on the edges of the faux wood paneling has started to de-laminate in places. The passenger side power mirror is not working. Driver's side power mirror works fine. The cornering lamps work great, but the passenger side chrome bezel is cracked (OEM replacements are available cheaply on eBay). There appears to be a very minor oil leak from the timing cover seal which causes some oil to pool on top of the water pump over time, but it's such a negligible amount that there is no cause for concern. There are no other leaks of any kind that I have noticed and none of the aforementioned issues affect the drivability of this car.

This is the last year of the Country Squire and with only 3,800 produced in 1991, they are getting super hard to find and do not come up for sale often--especially in fantastic condition like this. This wagon is a GREAT daily driver and I just took it on a 900-mile road trip to the beach in July. It passed PA inspection right before I bought it, and the stickers are still on the windshield. I hate to sell it, but I am looking to fund another project.

Bid to win! You will not be disappointed with this one!
