The Ford Model A was the second huge success for the Ford Motor Company, after its predecessor, the Model T. First produced on October 20, 1927, but not sold until December 2, it replaced the venerable Model T, which had been produced for 18 years. This new Model A designated a 1928 model and was available in four standard colors. From a 1931 advertisement: "The windshield has the approved 10 degree slant for greater beauty and safety (reduced night glare),... while the straight line treatment of the molding is an authentic beauty note. Having the slant window sets this Model A apart. The paint on this car is a very nicely done Ford Maroon, with a nice Ford black lacquer on the fenders, and black vinyl roof. The interior is highly original in Mohair Style. The car has been owned by the same owner for the last 20 years. Highlights include 19 inch wire wheels, winged moto-meter cap, running board step plates, Grille guard, rear shade, owner's manual, tools, rear mounted spare tire and rear luggage rack. This car is very eye appealing and runs and handles very well.
