1936 Ford Slant Back Description

If you have always wanted to own a old hot rod - this may be the car for you. It was built back in the day and upgraded in maybe the 60s (judging from the interior). It has a pie chop and filled roof. It was painted a gloss black and then they shot a satin clear over it. Inside it has the garnish moldings and dated but usable interior (diamond tuck in door panels). It has gauges that work but they are cheap-o and I can't say how accurate they are. Windows roll up and down and the front rolls out (which is rare to find one that works). The pass said and back glass are cracked but they are just flat glass.
The hood fits well and the fenders are fiberglass. The grill has newish looking trim and hardware. The bumpers are straight and stock mounted. The engine is a 302 and it has a AOD trans with 9" rear. The driveshaft looks to be pretty new as does the exhaust that dumps out just in front of the rear end. The gas tank has been replaced and the taillights updated with blue dots. It has a 4" drop front axle with a new leaf spring, shackles and Speedway Motors manual steering gear box (needs front shocks installed). It has split wishbones with new tie rod ends (front end needs the tor in set). Disc brakes on the front and power booster on master cylinder (needs to have front brakes bled again). The engine has an alternator and 12 volt system. There is a mount and pulleys for A/C but nothing else.
This is just a cool looking old hot rod. Suspension is 1936 Ford so don't expect it to ride any better than that. It needs an owner who will drive it and update it along the way. I just buy and sell old hot rods to save them...I don't collect them and they seldom stay here more than a couple months. They leave here as is where is and with no warranty...so as my daddy used to say "buyer beware". ITS A OLD HOT ROD. You can have a lot of fun with it but be prepared to make repairs and update it. I have it listed other places so if it sells I will take the ad down. Bid to own.
