1931 Model A Ford 68B Cabriolet

Completed a frame-off total nut & bolt restoration of this car in time for the 2012 MARC Nation Meet in Oshkosh, Wi., where it won the award of excellence (top Award) in Touring Class. Only driven 1,400 miles since restoration was completed.

Painted correct original colors, Lombard Blue with Hessian Blue stripe & wheels. Correct interior done in Bedford Cord. Canvas top perfectly installed by the shop of Bill Sturm. The body was fitted with all new oak wood, so it is rock solid and the doors open and close solid and easily. All mechanical parts have been disassembled and restored. The engine was bored and sleeved back to standard. It has a Stipe cam for improved performance, stainless steel valves and hardened seats. All new babbitt bearings. The transmission is a Mitchel 3 speed synchromesh in 2nd & high inside of a stock Model A transmission case, so only the driver knows. It also has a Mitchel overdrive that allows easy highway cruising. The original driveshaft and toque tube that comes with the car. It runs on 6 volts, charged by a “Genernator”, which is a stock generator outside case with an alternator inside for top electrical performance with bright lights for night driving and a horn that calls out a perfect tone “AHHOOOGAH!”. All new cast iron brake drums and all new brake parts stops this car evenly without fade. All steering parts have been restored to new condition, so it steers solid, smooth and without play. All sheet metal is steel…no fiberglass parts. Four new shock absorbers and all new suspension parts installed. New “Brassworks” radiator keeps her running cool. No corners were cut and only top quality and NOS parts installed by experienced restorers have been used in this restoration.I am including the original Zenith carburetor and the cast iron sediment bowl with this car. The California 1931 License plates are not included with this car.

Looks and drives better than new.
