While owned by Kathleen Kuceyeski, she had the car restored in 1993. The car was used very little and ultimately went un-used for several years.I purchased the car in 2017 and sent it to Model A Experts, the Ehrenhofer Brothers (Ken and Ron), and asked them to go through the car from stem to stern and to address everything needed to make the car safe and reliable for touring. A comprehensive list of the work they did is attached. The highlights include:
I'd think nothing of getting in the car and driving it cross-country
The car is in overall good cosmetic condition - what you'd expect from a 25 yr. old restoration. Not show quality but certainly nothing to be ashamed of. Great Driver!
The interior is in excellent condition except for the headliner which has some mouse holes as shown in the photos. I've also tried to show that the radiator grille could use some polishing and slight metalfinishing to make perfect.
I'm only selling this car because I purchased a 1931 Buick which makes this car redundant in my collection.
Please note: I am 6'7" tall and have found that the Tudor is the only Model A that I can fit in comfortably. The seat hinge replacement moves the front seat back a few inches and we installed a modified gear-changelever to accommodatemy height (original lever included with the car). Bottom-line is that this car is very comfortable to drive!
My Buy-It-Now price of $18,500 is a bargain given the history, condition, and extensive work done to the car to make it a turn-key touring car.
I'm happy to answer any questions and encourage a physical inspection. I can be reached at 630-417-2876 (please don't call if you are trying to sell me your brokerage or transportation services). Located very near O'Hare Airport.
