This will be one of the better Ford Coupes rolling down the road for someone, hese '38 Standard Coupes are starting to get popular! Great Art Deco Look to the front end.
1938 Ford Standard Coupe. This Coupe is really close to running and driving. Not much left to do to be able to get it on the road, nless you want to go farther and do a complete interior. Needs wiring, tarter and Generator/Alternator. I have everything for the car except glass. Have all garnish moldings original to the car, ice split bench seat not installed. I have three right rear fenders for it too, ne a NOS, nother original to the car that has been dented, nd a fiberglass one. All rear fenders are included. I have all of the stainless trim for the grill, ust missing the doors and quarter panel stainless. I was going to run it without any of it on.
The frame is great, " super bell dropped front axle, ear cross member has been dropped 4", 40 front Juice backing plates, plit wishbones, owered front and rear posies springs, ear end is out of a '49 Lincoln and has the big Lincoln brakes, ear backing plates need rebuilding. Original dash with nice chrome glove box with locking key. Dash needs gauges. 1940 Steering wheel included. Brand new dual master cylinder with power booster. steel brake lines ran along the inner frame rails. New "Tanks" gas tank with steel gas line run to the flathead. front and rear bumpers with irons included. New Firestone bias ply 7.50 rears & 425 fronts I have so many parts that come with this sale, t is way too much to list.
Car was painted with a black rust inhibitor that looks like an old lacquer job from way back, ooks great! This car is not perfect and I was not trying to build a show car, his car was being built to drive and have fun with, ot polish and look at in the garage. The rear tailpan has a small crack that will need to be corrected, ut should be really easy.
Engine: 1937 21 Stud Flathead that came out of a running 1932 coupe, as all new gaskets, ightened flywheel, ARE HEXAGON INTAKE AND AIR CLEANER that are polished, ith two rebuilt 97 stromberg's by Max. Heads are Ford Aluminum made in Canada (cheater heads). Harmon & Collins crab Distributor. Transmission is a T-5 Five speed. Driveshaft ready to install. Radiator has been pressure tested and ready to go. Rear end needs new gasket and fluid.
Custom Stainless Steel Exhaust Headers that are killer, hey will make this flathead sound great!
