1966 Ford Mustang Description

1966 Ford Mustang Coupe for Sale
1966 Ford Mustang Coupe 1-Family Owned, California Car ......please be patient while the many photos load.....

1966 Ford Mustang for sale. This 1-family owned Mustang was built in San Jose, California, finished in the rare color combination of Raven Black with a red interior. I purchased this car into my inventory around a year ago from the grandson of the original owner to enjoy and use personally before eventually selling. At the time I purchased the car I was told that the miles were original. It is now showing 89,122.

This special Mustang was taken off the road and put into storage in 1986. In around 2003 the grandson took possession and in 2006-2007 spent in excess of $6000 going through the car mechanically to get it back on the road and reliable as can be. The car has been driven about 7,700 miles since and is in excellent running and driving condition with a very strong engine, excellent power steering, shifting, and handling.

The interior was showing its age so I replaced much of it. It has a new headliner, dash pad, seat upholstery, rugs and more. It looks fantastic and it's very comfortable. All options and accessories are in working order including the radio, heater, gauges, lighting, wipers, etc. I freshened up the trunk with a new mat kit. The original spare tire and jack are present.

The body is straight with just a dime-sized spot of surface rust at the front lower corner of the passenger door. It has had plenty of touch-up paint around the body, but we were able to polish it up and get a really good shine on it. I replaced the rear bumper and antenna and some outdated aftermarket body side molding with pinstripes. The car presents well from 20 feet however the new owner at some point may wish to repaint it. The good news is that's all it really needs. The undercarriage is super clean with no rot or damage whatsoever, a compelling and convincing sign of the low, stated mileage.

These one owner, low mileage California cars are becoming increasingly difficult to find. This nice little Mustang is ready to drive anywhere making it a great car for someone who appreciates the early cars, especially in the much-less-common color combinations such as this.
