1966 Ford Mustang Base 289 CI - Auto Trans- SOLID CAR.
1966 Ford Mustang coupe Description
Here is my 1966, ord Mustang base coupe project. No fluid leaks! I have been all around this car with a magnet and all the panels, enders, oors, tc. are metal. Has a rebuilt running 289 ci V-8 with automatic transmission. Pictures of it on the trailer dolly are from when I bought her and brought her home. I bought this as a project with hopes of finishing it, ut my physical health now prevents that. This Mustang has the rare (one of 11 thousand) bench seat in the front. Solid body and floors pans. Solid cowl with no holes or rust. I have aflexiblemagnetic cowl cover with the pony emblem on it! Solid torque boxes and sub frame. Set up for dual exhaust. New battery tray and new battery. New glove box insert. Wood shifter“T” handle. New replacement (red) seat belts. Replacement (red) door panels. I was going for a red car with black interior with red accents so some of thereplacementparts are red. Replacement rear seats (good condition used) still in the box they were shipped in. New ignition coil andsolenoid. New coil cap and new spark plug wires still in the box. I have new ignition switch and keys. New chrome valve covers still in the boxes. Heater box, eater radiator, nd fan motor were pulled and I have a brand new replacement units still in the box. Underhood wiring has been piece mealed together and should be replaced in total, hich is what I was working on when I got hurt. New harness is about $40 on E-bay. I have most all of the original parts. I have sound proofing for the floors with some already installed in the trunk. Trunk area is nearly completed. Plus I have a lot of replacement-add on and dress up parts still in boxes. You will NOT be disappointed in this car. With a little work, ou got a super nice driver! You will need a dolly or trailer for this car as the ignition wiring, ey, nd startercircuithave not been finished. Even though it will not start now, his is a running engine, ranny and drive train. I have driven it and it was driven into the garage it is in now. Old deteriorated spliced wiring and electrical was being worked on when I had to quit. The title is being held by my credit union in Ohio.
