1989 Ford Mustang Lx Description

This 5.0 coupe was bought new by the Glendale New Mexico Police Department. It was maintained regularly. There is a comprehensive maintenance log of everything that was done to this car since day one. There are no signs of any accident damage and the car Never had any Rust. The car has been repainted it's original smoke gray metallic color in base coat clear coat. Windows, eals, oors,hood and trunk were all removed to properly paint the doo, trunk, nd fender jams. Tje car has NOS belt line window moldings, OS door seals. New tires. The body moldings were removed and new 3M double stick tape was properly applied. All window trim was removed and repainted as well as replacing the window drip rails with excellent OEM rails. The 1/4 windows are in excellent shape for a 27 year old car. The battery is new. The car starts right up, oesn't smoke and has lots of power. The transmission shifts smoothly. All lights work. The Glendale Police Department used the car for undercover work. It was painted two tone blue when I bought it. This was not an original color combination. It appears that the color was changed to disguise the car over the years, n a effort to protect the officers using it. This would be a great car to display as an undercover law enforcement vehicle, r paint the wheels black and make it look like a "Smokey in a Plain Gray Wrapper" from the 1980's, he one that gives out speeding tickets not concert tickets. I just added NOS 5.0 badges and trunk Ford emblem. The trunk carpet and accessories are all in the trunk. Carpet is nice but not perfect. I would not replace it. Headliner new. Telescoping map light works.

This car has Excellent body lines as well as great fitting doors which close perfectly.
