1969 Ford F-250 HIGHBOY Description
1969 Ford Highboy F250
Nice truck, Original royal maroon paint with no repaints or damage.
I was told it was a rebuilt 390, it runs good but has a pretty bad exhaust leak at the collector. I thought it was at the manifold so I replaced those gaskets already probably making the collector leak worse.
This has been a southern Oregon truck its whole life so it has very little rust issues. It has a few spots at the bottom of the doors, the front fender and under the heel pad of the drivers foot.
This was a factory A/C truck also and still has the compressor mount and the condenser under the hood, the under dash unit is long gone.
Factory 4 speed with granny low, manual locking hubs, divorced transfer case with 2 speeds, all works good.
I just put brand new tires on it with less than 5 miles on them. 9.00 16 Power Kings, 36" tall and skinny just like you would have done in the early 70's. That's $1200 worth of rubber!
The saddle tanks in the bed aren't hooked up and would need acid washed or professionally cleaned before being hooked back up. The stock tank behind the seat is in good shape and full of fresh fuel.
The speedometer isn't hooked up. The brakes need bled, I have driven it to the tire shop recently with caution but the pedal is really low.
The warn winch and bumper are just awesome and add to the vintage 4x4 character. The winch works intermittently because the contacts were the cable hook up are corroded and need cleaned. It's cable operated from inside the cab. I also have a matching spare winch that will go with it.
I have the factory metal door panels in the garage that are included.
Cool truck that's getting harder to find in this condition. NO RESERVE!!
will sell worldwide.
