| NO RESERVE!! Car is in Grangeville, Idaho and must be picked up by the buyer. A $500 dollar deposit is due at auction end, the balance to be paid upon pick up, we can decide what works best. Clear Idaho title in hand and ready to transfer. The deposit is refundable if the deal goes south for some reason, I am an easy person to get along with. This Thunderbird was bought new in 1959 by a fellow in Idaho. It was his pride and joy. When he died, it was put in the barn and covered up where it sat for about 10 years. My friend found it and bought it with plans on restoring it but then he got involved in other projects and once again, the old t-bird sat for another 10 years covered up. This is a solid car, original motor and transmission. It was running good when parked about 10 years ago. I cleaned the carb, plugs and points, rigged up a one gallon gas tank and it started and ran about 15 minutes when the gas ran out. I have not checked the brakes, I put roller tires on it, they don't match and are not road worthy. This is presently not a drive-able vehicle other than on the lot. The interior is original red and white, not horrible condition but not good. The odometer reads 07031, I would imagine that is 107,031. There is some surface rust here and there but overall a solid body with no major rust concerns, this lived in Idaho it's whole life so no salt exposure. The windshield is cracked as are the drivers and passenger side door windows. The door panels are gone, given to a long ago deceased upholstery guy and never returned. There are some parts I found in the trunk which included the original side chrome "bullets", new door locks and some other things I have shown in the photos here. There is a dent on the driver's side front fender which is the worst body damage, also shown here. The roof is solid and not caved in, the headliner is gone. The trunk is clean and solid, we drilled the trunk lock and then found the keys. Engine is the original factory installed 352 pushing 300 HP. Transmission is also factory installed original to car. The plate indicates the original color was Hickory Tan, manufactured at the Wixom plant. The factory radio has been removed and replaced with a cassette deck. There is no battery. The body lines are straight and clean, someone did a little bondo work on the nose but no heavy damage there. The doors open and close tight and solid. Feel free to send any questions you may have but don't wait until the auction is about over please. I can store it here for a reasonable amount of time at no charge. I can also have help here for loading. Great project car that has not been messed with.
