1941 Ford Pickup Description
1941 Ford Pickup Truck, Chevy 350 motor with Turbo 350 automatic trans.All steel truck, no fiberglass.The idea was to have the truck look as original as possible inside and out but still have modern parts. Dash even has all original knobs and ignition switch(non functional), but a modern ignition switch has been added below the dash.The paint is shiny as you can see from the pictures, but it is older lacquer that has niks and scratches (see pictures; driver's door jamb is by far the worst), as well as some crazing. Looks great from 5 feet away, and I wanted it merely as a driver. The only thing that doesn't work quite right is the odometer. It gets to 50 then starts back at 40. It was new from Stewart Warner, and it should still be under warranty. Runs great and rides straight without any bump steer. Drive it home, or I can help with shipping details. In order to be given "permission" to buy and build this truck, the plan was that my wife would be able to drive it. Unfortunately, it's just a little too much for her. See needs idiot lights and a shift indicator, otherwise she could drive 10 miles to Home Depot in low gear.
