Today is a sad day. You see... today I begin to say goodbye to a very good friend. Yes, I am a car guy and that is why this good-bye is of such great difficulty. I say “farwell” to a very dear friend as I put up for sale our 1972 Ford Gran Torino Station Wagon, “The Truckster”. As with any used car... there have been happy and sad moments. Today by far is the saddest moment of all as I prepare to say good bye a reliable and dear friend. “The Truckster”, is a perfectly running automobile only with need tires and body work. She is road worthy and after the purchase of said rubber, I would not hesitate a cross country trip with her today. Originally equipped with a 302 (which is on a stand in my garage if interested), she now has at her heart- 351 Windsor with D6 transmission. She has... new radiator, electronic ignition, updated coil pack, 1yr old starter, recent head gasket replacement, new hoses, belts, front brake pads, battery cables. What she needs is... new tires, body work and a new home. (Why am I selling her if she is such a great car? I am glad you asked... I have recently built a tiny home and need a truck to pull it to its intended destinations☹.) From the pictures it is clear the original seat is missing and replaced with bucket seats from a 1998 Dodge Stratus. The original bench seat is in my possession (needs recovering) and can be made available as well. From one car guy to another... this vehicle has been a labor of love. I can only hope its 3rd life owner will to fall in love with her and give her the vital body make- over she desperately needs and deserves.

I have been asked several questions that I did not make clear in original description. #1) The tile is clear, no leans; #2) Leaks? Yes small leak from rear end yoke cover, oil pan leak that does need to be addressed, #3) Rust? Most rust is around fender wells and rear storage compartment (see pictures). There is no rust that effects the structure of the vehicle, #4) Rear door? Yes recently it has been replaced. From the factory the rust proof was not applied completely in the rear door area causing significant rust. I replaced it this past summer and does still need some body work before repainting, #5) I am including theoriginal bench seat at noadditional cost, I also have a new headliner (still in the box) that I will also include with purchase.I hope I have answered all your questions, if not feel free to ask.
