1931 Ford Model A Description

Up for sale is my 1931 Ford Model A, -V8. three owner California car bought new in Los Angeles. the car has been in storage since 1963. it was built hot rod style in the late 1950s by the second owner and driven very little, hen was put in the back of the garage where it stayed until 2014 and is now back on the road running great.the motor is a 1950 Ford flathead with very low miles.it has a vintage Mallory dual point distributor that has been in it since the 1950s. the motor does not smoke one bit and no oil leaks and no blow bye.the transmission is a 1939 3 speed and shifts great but does pop out of second gear when going down a hill but will stay in if I rest my hand on the shifter, retty common for these transmissions.has 1940 juice brakes with recent brake work. front axle is a 4 inch drop.the electrical has been changed to 12 volt with a new alternator and starter.the wheels are 16 inch Kelsey Hays bent spokes with fresh black powder coat. tires are new Firestones from Coker. fronts are 600-16" rear are 700-16".The body is all Henry Ford steel with ZERO rust anywhere, o patch panels and no signs of accidents, he body is in very good condition with only maybe a half dozen very minor dings. The paint is at least 60 years old and showing its age with some nice patina. All the glass is in good condition, o cracks or chips. The interior was done in 1960 and is still in nice condition especially for its age. the gauges are vintage Stewart Warner with a working tachometer. the car is pretty much just like it was when it went into storage in 1963 with the exception of the 12 volt alternator new tires and new tube shocks in the rear, ew water pumps, arburetor rebuild, une up,oil change etc. the fuel tank has some rust so there is a 7 gallon Harley gas tank in the trunk that works fine for around town but should have a larger tank installed. I have only put about 200 miles on it around town and seems to be dependable, lways starts instantly hot or cold and cruises 55 mph easy. the suspension feels tight but does have a little play in the steering box but nothing bad.The brakes stop good and the clutch feels good no chatter. it will be sold with a clear California title in my name and titled as a 1931 Ford Coupe. The black and yellow 1963 California license plates seen on the car will come with it but it is registered with new style CA. plates I do have a copy of the 1963 CA. title showing the black plates were on the car so if sold to a California buyer they could go back on the car with a trip to the Dreaded CA. DMV. if you need any further information feel free to call 949-429-5382. IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK YOU MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU BID. I reserve the right to cancel all Zero feedback bids. Shipping and transporting is up to buyer but I will do all I can on my end to make sure its loaded safe and sound. On Feb-21-16 at 08:08:02 PST, eller added the following information:

Several people have asked if the stock fuel tank still holds fuel with no leaks, t has about a half gallon in it now with no leaks and may still be usable if it was flushed out good and the proper fuel filter was used. I need to let potential buyers know I will sell the car world wide and will except The $500 deposit through paypal but the final payment must be Cash, nbsp;Cashier check or wire transfer.
