In 1979 the F series truck became... the bestselling vehicle in the world, this was also the first time that ford motor company introduced the slogan " built ford tough." The F-250 came in Custom, Ranger, Ranger XLT and Ranger Lariat trim choices, with Custom being the base level and Lariat the most luxurious. The crew cab versions were only available in Custom and Ranger XLT trim.
