1986 Ford F-250 XLT Lariat Description

You are bidding on a 1986 F250 XLT Lariat, 2 wheel drive, 6.9 diesel with the Banks Sidewinder Turbo, it is an automatic, super nice condition! Extremely solid California truck! never wrecked and well cared for! 94,000 miles, even the steering wheel it like new yet! I recently bought it from a wholesale outfit as a donation vehicle and it was a little sun baked and looked kinda bad, but we woke it up with a littlelovinand WOW what a great truck!

It appears to have a reconditioned engine with those decals on the valve covers, when I got it ran but had a loud popping noise? It ended up just being one slightly stuck valve, so I tapped it with a hammer while running and the noise went away right then! I replaced one push rod and all is good! Notice how clean it is and Iunderstand it might have upgraded rocker arms I'vebeen told? anyway the engine bay it in good shape just typical and it will drip some oil it may need new vavlecover gaskets? when I had them off they seemed ok (rubber ones) so I just reused them.

The truck runs very well and has lots of power and sounds great! Nice tires and brakes are good! It proved to be such a good solid truck I decided to run it through my body shop and take away the sun damaged paint so we stripped, sanded, prepped, epoxied, primed and painted the Green color as necessary it is a little darker and nicer green than the original but it really pops in the sunlight! the tan insert color we did not paint put it has beedredone in the past but in good shape yet. We replaced all the window channels felts with good soft ones and the power windows & locks work great, the doors shut and sound like new! We installed a new windshield, recovered the seat and fixed a few springs so it sets & feels like new! Reconditioned the door panels and fresh inserts to match the seat, new headliner, and I used a better dash pad from my shop truck, the carpet was pretty good shape but I did pull it out and power washed it it's a little sun fadedon the hump butnot bad, it has a really nice stereo & speakers, a CB radio and trailer brake, it also has a working alarm system with key fob.

This truck is so clean & solid on theundersideand all the seems, it is impressive! the rear bumper is even super nice with no rust issues at all. I do not know the past history on the truck but can only imagine a well cared for ranch truck that pulled a horse trailer now & then? and it is ready for more duty like that!

The inside of the bed is nice but could use some fresh paint or spray onbedlinerI do have a Fordplastic bed-linerfor it and a nice factory topper if interested. [pit? The truck did have a fifth wheel receiver so a few small holes. I see some new front suspension parts on the truck and it feels good and tight, goes down the road at 75 with no issues. Basically, a great diesel truck that now looks and feels nearly like it's new! a few small things need attention yet, A/c needs recharging, the cruise control is not working, and the right blinker position you have to hold it up. Also, check out the old school telescoping mirrors I replaced the driver's glass.

I would like to keep it for a shop truck but it is now way to nice for me and more truck than I need. We are a licensed NE dealer anda anauto restoration/body shop. Please feel free to Call 402-474-2344 with any questions. The truck is for sale locally and can be seen at 712 w Cornhusker Hwy Lincoln, Nebraska I encourage you to come to check it out and take it for a spin if truly interested, but warring you'll fall in love with it and have to have it it's that nice!
