1940 Ford Other Pickups Description

Hey Guys, Rich Barnes at The Mustang Ranch here in Golden, Colorado. This client of mine asked me to sell his Family heirloom 1940 Ford Pickup vin#185837425 with just a little over 1,800 miles. The build took about 4 years to complete. As you can see this 40 has been customized and updated with some modern technology. It has a mild performance rebuilt V-8 4 barrel 327 Small block Chevy with a 2 speed power-glide automatic transmission and a 8 inch 300:1 limited slip Ford rear end for the drive train. Disc brakes, power steering, tilt wheel, power windows, power solenoid/ suicide doors CD/ receiver and air conditioning have been added to make driving this 40 around town a pleasure. This was a frame off build with every nut/bolt and bushing replaced. The frame is original with a strait axle front end with leaf springs front and rear and retains its original Vin number in two locations that I have found. There is no, for lack of a better word hacking, splicing, grafting or liberties that have been taken with on the frame or body structure that would be considered in poor taste. The cab, hood, bed are original steel. The front fenders are fiberglass replacement. Very little filler was used when the body was reconditioned. Finished in a two stage paint that was a cut buff polish job and accented with paint pinstripe. The custom interior was done with three things in mind. Comfort, style and convince. Through out this build you will find custom machine work in the door handles, brackets, mounts and many other items that were personally built by the owner who is a life long machinist and craftsman. Every aspect of this truck is quality. Everything electrical and mechanical works just fine and I have driven this truck myself and will agree it is totally road worthy.
