1969 Ford Mustang MACH 1 Description

***** I WILL ENTERTAIN TRADE OFFERS FOR OTHER COLLECTOR CARS. RESERVE WILL BE HELD CONFIDENTIAL**** UP FOR AUCTION IS MY 1969 FORD MUSTANG MACH 1 “R” CODE 428. THIS CAR WAS REPAINTED YEARS TO A PERIOD CORRECT INDIAN FIRE RED, WHICH HAS HELD UP PRETTY NICE. WHEN I PURCHASED THIS CAR I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE ORIGINAL DRIVETRAIN HOWEVER, I HAVE NOT CONFIRMED THIS IS TRUE. I HAVE A DELUXE MARTI REPORT & THE ORIGINAL INVOICE WHEN IT WAS SOLD...NEW. THE ORIGINAL VIN TAG IS STILL PRESENT AS WELL AS THE DOOR TAG. ORIGINALLY ORDERED AT JACK DYKSTRA FORD INC, IN LANSING MICHIGAN, THIS “R” CODE CAME EQUIPPED WITH THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS THAT TOTALED $4130.60: -VISIBILITY GROUP -F70X14 BELTED RAISED WHITE LETTER TIRES -POWER STEERING (NO LONGER HAS) -POWER FRONT DISC BRAKES -AM/8TRACK STEREO RADIO (NO LONGER HAS) -TINTED GLASS-COMPLETE -3.50 CONVENTIONAL REAR AXLE -C-6 SELECT SHIFT AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION THIS IS AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF A DRIVER, SHOWING SOME BLEMISHES IN THE PAINT (DRIVER 1/4 PAINT IMPERFECTIONS ALONG BODY LINE, DRIVER 1/4 SEAM THAT MEETS ROOF, PAINT IMPERFECTIONS, WIPER COWL BLACK PAINT IMPERFECTIONS) THE PAINT IS VERY SHINY AND THE BODY IS STRAIGHT. THE DOORS ARE VERY SOLID UNDERNEATH, GOOD PHOTOS OF BOTH SIDES PROVIDED. IT HAS BRAND NEW FRONT & REAR BUMPERS, DOOR HANDLES, 1/4 WING WINDOW TRIM. THE MAGNUM 500 WHEELS & TIRES ARE ALSO BRAND NEW. THE INTERIOR IS IN GOOD SHAPE. INTERIOR LIGHTS WORK AS WELL AS BASIC EXTERIOR LIGHTS. THE CLOCK & DASH CLUSTER IS NOT CURRENTLY WORKING & SPEEDOMETER IS DISCONNECTED) THIS CAR RUNS VERY VERY WELL, IT WAS BUILT TO RUN. THE ENGINE IS VERY RESPONSIVE AND HAS LOADS OF POWER/TORQUE. I DO NOT HAVE THE SPECS ON THE ENGINE BUILD OR ANY DOCUMENTATION ON WHEN IT WAS REBUILT. THE CAR LIKES TO BE SHIFTED MANUALLY, IT SEEMS TO WORK BEST THAT WAY. DO NOT EXPECT A $80,000 R CODE, THIS IS A VERY RESPECTABLE DRIVER THAT LOOKS AND ACTS THE PART AT A FRACTION OF THE COST
