1971 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT Description

1971 Ford F100 Ranger XLT "Turn Key" ready for Shows and Cruise Events! You'll be impressed with the "Show Quality" Paint! This an original Oregon truck with 57,300 miles showing on the odometer. It has the Big Block 390 CID V8 (estimated at 400+HP), C-6 Automatic, Air Conditioning, Power Steering and Power Brakes (Front Disc). Our previous seller wrote: "I purchased this truck from the original owner-family where the truck spent its entire life in Oregon. The truck was rust free and all original when I purchased it. Body Restoration: The bed was removed along with the glass and the body was stripped, prepped and re-sprayed in the original Swiss Aqua paint color. (base coat-clear coat). I removed the factory in- cab gas tank for safety reasons (still has factory saddle tank). The top was painted off white and some custom pin stripping added. (pin stripes are over the clear and could be removed if they re not your style) RUST FREE frame was painted with black chassis saver paint. Both front and rear bumpers were replaced and original body side moldings polished and re-installed. I removed the 3 body side moldings for a cleaner look. I replaced the windshield, back window, and door rubber seals. Paint job on the truck is really slick and the pictures don't do it justice. Suspension: The truck was lowered with DJM 3 - 4 drop kit and shocks. New king pins installed along with all new front disc brakes with braided lines. The original power steering gear box was rebuild and upgraded to the newer style with quicker ratio kit and all power steering hoses were replaced. I have new front sway bar kit that comes with truck not installed yet. Rims and Tires: 4- Original 15 x 6 ford steel wheels were sand blasted powder coated and painted body color and chrome bullet center caps were added. Truck rides on brand new 235-75 15 Coker wide white radial tires, Engine / Transmission: Less than 1,000 miles on both The original Big block 390 was removed, machined and rebuild with lots of upgrades to include: Block was hot tanked, decked, bored .030 over, new cam bearings and freeze plugs. Crank was turned .010-010 and the rotating assembly re-balanced all new bearings throughout. New forged speed pro pistons with moly rings, rods reconditioned and ARP head studs. New hydraulic comp cam and lifters installed. Rocker arms and shafts reconditioned. New Edelbrock performer RPM aluminum intake manifold with new Demon 750 anular discharged with vacuum secondary carb wit holley mechanical fuel pump and earls black braided fuel lines and filter. New MSD distributor ignition and wires. New original style chrome powered by Ford valve covers. New ceramic coated Sanderson headers with custom bent full dual exhaust with Dyno max mufflers and tail pipes/ Air conditioning system was R&R and converted to R34. New alternator and water pump replaced at the time of rebuild. All engine brackets and pulleys were powder coated black. All new hoses and belts on the truck. C-6 transmission was rebuilt all new shift kit and new torque converter. Rear end is a 9" with 3.50 gears. The interior is all stock original in really good shape and a new AM/FM Bluetooth Radio was recently installed.
