1968 Ford Mustang -- Description

**** I am open for trades up and down, please scroll down and review all 100 photos. There is everything you want to see you there. If you're interested in buying out right, please make an offer as the reserve will be held confidential. **** Up for auction is my mechanically sound 1968 "J code" Mustang fastback. I purchased this car from a long time owner (since 1995), who bought it when he was 15 years old and has maintained/upgraded it...ever since. I have a three ring binder full of receipts, technical specifications, and details about the build. He did a very good job of tracking what he did to the car. Thousands of dollars has been spent on the drivetrain/suspension and when you run and drive this car, you can really tell. Drivetrain is powered by a crate 302, from Ford racing with 345 hp (M-6007-X302B) The heads have been modified with roller rockers. He also added a 5- speed Tremec transmission and traded out the original 8" rear end for a 9" rear end with 4.30 posi traction gear ratio. There is a rear sway bar installed. This car really handles well, has amazing power and absolutely sounds like a powerhouse ( stage two Flowmaster exhaust system ). There is about 20,000 miles on the build It has non power front disc brakes, drum in the rear. This car also has power steering. I have the original buck tag and it states this car was originally lime gold metallic with factory air, upper & lower console and power steering. I do not have a door tag. The original VIN number is still properly located in the dash, and the original VIN stamping on the driver side inner fender is still present and original. This car is an excellent driver, the paint is old, it was re-done in 1996. There are signs of bubbling and imperfections showing, which I have photographed. (lower 1/4, under 1/4 louver, bumper blemish) There has been some patchwork underneath as well. Please review the photos and understand what you are buying. The windows roll down as they should, and there are your average door glass scratches. This car will make an excellent cruiser for anyone looking to turn the key and enjoy American muscle instantly.
