1966 Ford Fairlane Description

1966 Fairlane GTA

How much more original can you get WITHOUT Rust???
This is such a head turner and fun car to drive!

When was the last time you saw an original Fairlane GTA come up for sale? I will let you know it was Three years ago and it sold for over $33K and it didn't have factory A/C or Style steel wheels.
I am offering my 1966 Fairlane GTA for the first time in 20 years, I am the third owner with the previous owner having it for 29 years and came from California.
Did I say original? It wears about 75% original paint, the interior finally was redone two years ago due to dry rot this includes seat covers, seat foam, headliner, door cards and carpet (front door cards still in box not installed yet)
Motor was rebuilt and went 20 over, transmission was also rebuilt and all brakes were done including the booster. This was a factory power drum brake car but I have installed the correct Kelsey Hayes disc set up from a 1967 Mercury Cyclone. It has Factory A/C which is cold and has Factory Power Steering, 3:25 Trac Loc rear end. It has Doug's long tube headers but original manifolds come with the car as does the correct date coded Holley 600 cfm carb. I have the factory radio which is not installed right now but the car has a hidden stereo so it does have tunes.
Car is Springtime yellow, 390 "S" Code with all correct date codes, Parchment interior, perfect dash, Optional Factory A/C, Power Steering, Power brake, Style Steel wheels, so basically a 60's muscle car that is fully optioned, minus a 427 cu. in.
I have had many classic cars over the years and have never had one this unmolested, if it sells I will be disappointed as I am sure I or you can't duplicate the condition on this model, or at the very least they would be very hard to come by.
I would drive this anywhere and we drove it from Naples Fl to Biloxi Mi last October to Crusin the coast and it was a 1700 mile round trip with no issues and got 16.3 MPG with the air on and cruising at 70 MPH.
Yes this is almost 53 years old and in as original condition as you can find so it does have nicks in the paint and there have been a few touch ups here and there. The Hagerty agent couldn't believe the condition and said the value far exceeds a restored one, and as the saying goes it's only original once!
Check current values, and as I said Hagerty values this well above the #3 Condition due to the originality. Only the NADA offer you to add options and does not include the Style Steel wheels, so the Hagerty numbers are not in line with options so technically you could add 40% to the Hagerty valuation for options.
This is a $45K - $50K if it had a fresh paint job, everyone says leave it as is as it is worth more this way.
