1955 Ford F Series Description

Video link at the bottom. Running, stopping and driving (barely) F-100 project truck. I bought this truck a couple of years ago with the intentions of bringing her back from the dead. When I got it, It had been sitting for a couple of decades (not sure exactly but tires were from the 70s.) Got it from an older gentleman who said the last owner who bought in 1962 was an electrical contractor, once he retired he parked the truck and never drove it again. It comes with his notebook that has phone numbers with letters in them (before they were all numbers.) People love this truck and a lot of them call her "Mater." It is a conversation every time I stop. In the past 2.5 years I have hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars adding or replacing

The headlights I have only gotten to work one time, same with the tail lights. Blinkers/brake lights do not work. I will include a wiring kit for the entire truck that I bought off of eBay and never used. Also have either one or two of the front blinker lenses that go with it. Dash lights work, key works for ignition. It will drive onto a trailer, and I can help load it. I do not recommend driving it home, no brake lights and it does run hot. I use it for short trips around town. I have never been on the highway or had it up to highway speed. The bed is a long bed, but the truck is a short wheel base. I am guessing the contractor swapped beds for more room. To center the rear wheels, you would need a short bed, or to shorten the bed that is on there. She has rust through on both cab corners, a part of the drivers floorboard and front of the hood. The undercarriage is surprisingly solid. Truck was jump started 02/26/19. It may need a new battery. I made a short video 02/26/2019 of a walkaround and ride and drive. Clean and Clear Missouri title in my name. It is currently licensed and insured. Mileage shows 87xxx, I believe original but I have no proofhttps://youtu.be/Jj1Vn6UPB0w
