1962 Ford Fairlane 500

This is a 1962 Ford Fairlane 500 which has been redone/restored to a very high level. This car has the original 260 V8 engine, automatic transmission and it a tremendous driving car. I am the third owner, I have restored it with a lot of professional help and every show I have taken it to, I have brought home a trophy to include best Ford overall and best interior. I am the third owner. Less than 500 miles since restoration and always garaged.

It is a 4 door sedan which just means you can carry more people comfortably. I will honestly put it up against any 2 door and am proud to say, it is extremely great car and needs nothing at all.

260 V8 original engine with a polished Edelbrock intake and Holley 4bbl carb along with a Edelbrock chrome fuel pump. It runs perfectly, starts right up, does not smoke and cruises down the highway extremely well.

Aluminum valve covers and chrome air filter.

Dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and chrome tips.

New shocks, front end bushings, brakes have been gone through and replaced.

Car is painted with a urethane and all the body work has been done by a metal professional who works on high dollar restomods. There is no bondo in this car and this car is laser straight with great door gaps.

Engine bay and engine have been cleaned, sanded and painted. Engine bay and the engine detail is outstanding.

All suspension parts have been cleaned and painted with POR-15 rust preventative paint. This car looks as good underneath as it does on top. Read end and rear suspension is cleaned and painted. Underneath was undercoated by Ziebart in the areas it had original undercoating.

The interior is all new, is high end work and has won awards for the interior. Seats, door panels, headliner, carpet, visors – everything inside is new. It looks and smells like new.

Interior dash is in great shape with all instruments working. Metal on doors is repainted to original color. Steering wheel is a Grant wheel.

All interior door and window handles are new. Exterior front door handles are new.

New stereo mounted in the glove box with the speakers on the package tray. USB connection on the stereo.

Both bumpers are new and all original trim is in great shape without dents and has all been polished. The grill and back panel black inset parts are repainted. The emblems are new.

All weather stripping is new. Doors, trunk, windshield, back glass and even the bump stops under the hood is new.

Under hood insulation is new.

Trunk mat is new.

Wheels and tires have less than 500 miles on them. American Racing aluminum wheels. Firestone tires.

All lights work.

This car is in beyond excellent restored condition and needs absolutely nothing except putting gas in the tank, go cruising and bring home a trophy. Yes, it is a 4 door and priced accordingly for the condition it is in. I would be willing to bet you that it will get more looks in this and it is of a higher quality than most 2 doors.
