Very solid and clean 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 Fastback. Built in Los Angeles back in 1965 and finally made its way up to WA state. This car has been in the family for a very long time and finally restored about 10 years ago. It started as a very solid car with a very clean, straight body and no major rust. The car is always covered andstored inside a climate controlled garage and rarely driven, but it is a cruiser. We do not trailer this to the car shows, it is always driven and cruised. The car rides like a dream and drives like a Cadillac. Everything works, all electrical, lights, wipers, and horns... It purrs like a kitten (literally) and has plenty of get-up and go.Mileage is either 18,000 or 118,000, I don't have a way of telling other than the condition would say 18,000. Here are the AWESOME things about the car: BRAND NEW $5000+++ interior restoration. Amazing custom work and super clean. Custom "R sixty 5" (Our 65) stitching and additional storage panels custom built in the truck for all of your car show cleaning supplies. Even the spare tire carrierand jack are chrome plated! Customgauges, console, dash, and cd/mp3 player in glove box with remote and externalcontrols. Plus the entire car is Dyno-matted for sound and road noise. REALLY unique interior and tons of extras. New Baby Moonsand new tires. All service, suspension and brakes are well kept and good order. Paint really shines nice, body is VERY straight and really solid. The body and paint work has been done years ago and still looks excellent, NOTwavy, no sand marks, no runs, VERY QUALITY (not like a bag of walnuts like most old cars)! Very nice Vinyl top as well, the car wasprofessionally restored and it really shows. Looksawesome. Chrome trim and bumpers / grille are all very straight and shiny. Under the car is VERY solid with really nice pans, rockers, quarters etc. Limited receipts of over $15,000 in recent work. DualExhaust with 2 headers and it really rumbles and sounds killer! Ofenhauser aftermarket Intake manifold with new Edelbrock 4 bbl carb sitting on top and MSD 6 ignition. New starter, radiator, alternator, and tons more. I have been getting 18-22mpg on this car. I really love this straight six. In fact, I have a professionally rebuilt 390 in my other 65 Galaxie, if you are set on a V8, message me and we can discuss a swap. I will deliver to any airport within 1500 miles for the price of a plane ticket back to Spokane, WA. The bad: Small blister forming under the quarter glass on the left side of the car. Small blisters along seam on rear pan under truck behind the bumper. Seel last two photos. Otherwise the car is great. Seems to be a 3 footer.I am accepting offers, text or email me with any questions. (360)719-9928 |
