1984 Ford F250 XL Supercab 4X4 Diesel Longbed 6.9 Turbo LOW MILEAGE NR
1984 Ford F-250 XL Description
Up for bid is a 1984 Ford diesel 4X4. I have owned this truck since 1986. I purchased it from the first owner. It spent it's first 2 years in Wyoming. It has the dependable 6.9 engine.has been in the southern California desert ever since. Hence the only rust is light surface rust. Here is a list of the equipment that I have added:
Banks turbo, installed by Banks in approx. 19889,000 lb. This is great running truck. It has the dependable 6.9 engine with a Banks turbo and a 4 sp. manual trans. It has factory skid plates under front fuel tank and transfer case. It is equipped with manual hubs. It has PS, PB, AC and after market cruise control (steering wheel sun damage caused me to replace), after market AM, FM cassett player (not the best, but works) The AC needs a re-charge and has been converted to R-134.It currently is on a CA. non-op registration, so no back fees for CA. I have a log of all the maintenance and parts that I have changed from approx 22,000 mi. to present. It has been driven very little in the last several years.
Here's the best part, it has less that 100,000 original miles on it. The gear on the inside of the trans. went out at around 90,000 miles. I added an hour meter to keep track of mileage (for oil change purposes), it now has only 82 hours on it. (approx. 4,000 mi.) I've been using an old but working GPS unit for a speedometer (included). About 5,000 mi. ago, I had the injection pump replaced with a rebuilt one. It uses very little if any oil. I never had to add between 3,000 mi. changes. I have not spent any time cleaning the truck!
The bad:The paint is in poor shape (Ford paint and sun), there is a lot of surface rust on the roof and elsewhere (but absolutely no perforation), also surface scratches. The speedo gear and steering wheel as mentioned above along with camper shell issues.$500. deposit required within 24 hours of auction close by Paypal. Balance due within 7 days.
