1976 76 VAN FORD ECONOLINE 150 HALF TON 70's DESERT 351 AUTOMATIC 9 INCH CAMPING
1976 Ford E-Series Van Description
Judging by the excellent condition of the sheet metal, I am guessing this van has been in the desert all of it's 43 years. The lower portion of doors, wheel wells, floor, rocker panels are in great condition The only rust that I found that could use some attention (wire brush POR-15 and paint) is the driver's and passenger's foot area. ( I think water got under the mat from the engine cover seal leaking.) And the lower corner, passenger side of windshield. Please view all pictures carefully as I tried to show any flaws I noticed. There are some small dings, scratches, rear bumper is a little bent and the paint's clear coat is coming off here and there. Grill has two broken spots.Van is equipped with; 351 windsor, 2 barrel carb, C6 automatic transmission, power steering, power front disk brakes and gauges. After market items include; radio/cd player, 6000 lbs class 3 receiver hitch, performance muffler (mellow at idle and more aggressive under acceleration) side exit in front of rear wheel. Paneling and linoleum flooring in back. Major a/c components are missing as is the smog pump. Comes with extra, rebuilt starter.Engine; runs great, is strong, there's a picture of the spark plugs I installed in 2013 when I purchased van. All 8 were dry with good color, no build up. There are a few drops of oil on ground after driving. If van sits for a few days it takes a bit of cranking to get gas back to carb. New fuel pump, air filter and spark plugs. Transmission works great, no issues. Van actually has a nice ride to it. Tires are from Oct. 2004. They have to be replaced. Summit racing is about 40 miles from here they have all kinds of wheels and tires if you plan on driving it home. There are several regular tire stores here in Carson City, Nev. Needs new wiper blades, right turn signal doesn't cancel, some of the window seals have deteriorated, paneling on sliding door is shot and while the seat belts with a knot tied in them may work, you'd probably replace those. There's scratching in side windows from going up and down. Speedometer reads 81672. Someone installed an electrical receptacle on side, behind driver's door. Plug power into it, and the sockets with lights, inside the back, work. There are some holes drilled through floor to mount something. Please get shipping estimate before bidding.
