This Mustang was originally sold by a dealer in Dallas, Texas. We have no records from 1965 until 1989, but we have the records of all work done from then until today. All of the owners from 1989 until today have been here in the Dallas area. We believe that the car never left Texas. In 1989 through 1990, the car underwent an on frame restoration. The receipts show that the car was completely gone over. The engine was not rebuilt, but it was totally freshened up. It was painted and all gaskets and a complete service were done. Even though the undercarriage was not completely restored, it was also treated to all new bushings, a frames, shocks, tires and much more. Receipts dating back to 1989 show that the car was painted inside and out, except for the trunk and door jambs. There were new seat cover, headliner, door panels and weather seals replaced. The steering wheel center was rechromed, and there were many new parts installed to replace anything that needed it. The dash is mostly original, but there were some updates done such as rally package tach and clock, and the wood grain inserts on the dash and glove box. The tape player is working but we couldn't get the radio tuned in to a station. The factory under dash air works well. It was also restored duringthe 1989 restoration. The car is an original pony interior car. As per the door tag, this is an original Rangoon red car. These are just a few of the photos of the car during restoration. It looks like the original floor pans were in excellentcondition. The 289 engine was not rebuilt during the restoration. It has however been very well maintained. There are receipts for oil changes and other mechanical work. In 2017 the original radiator was replaced with a thicker 3 core radiator. The last 2 owners did routine maintenance on the car. That has been over 7 years. They seldom drove the car. This is a very nice older restoration and is a great running and driving Mustang. Thank you for viewing our ad.
