1979 Ford F-250 4X4 Description

1979 Ford F250 LWB 4X4 truck. This is a former NASA vehicle used at the Houston, Texas space center. It has the born with 400c.i. 2V and 4 speed manual with locking hubs. Incredibly, it still only has 58,454 original miles. It features power steering, power brakes, aftermarket stereo, sliding rear window, dealer or government installed A/C, dual fuel tanks, and new window tinting. There was zero rust in this truck. Unusually, it has a second battery tray for jump starting other facility vehicles. Brand new are: Wrangler Duratrac LT285/75/R16 tires, chrome wheels, bed side moldings from LMC, and tinted windshield. Paint is a year old and is very nice and a local show winner type with no runs, drips, dirt, fish eyes, or orange peel on a lazer straight body. The shade of blue on it now is a little darker than the factory color was.
The engine starts and runs easily with no smoke, and runs beautifully. The original radiator was cleaned. The 4 speed shifts like new. Original blue dash has no cracks in it, headliner, door panels, visors, seat, and floormat are still super nice. No engine leaks. The A/C just needs charged.
I have the F250 emblems for the fenders and wheel well moldings for it. It will need the tail gate moldings purchased and installed and the clips are in place for them. I have the 2 new license plate lights for the rear bumper so they just need installed.
Front and rear bumpers, grille, and headlight bezels are all original and very good.
All lights, horn, speedometer, gauges, turn signals, fuel switch, wipers work perfectly. This truck has not been completely "restored" as it did not need it and I did not want a trailer queen. I drive my trucks, and care for them well.
