1961 Ford F-100 Custom Description

Regretfully selling the most solid never rusted 1961 F100 short bed “Unibody” truck on the planet. 100% of the sheet metal that left the factory connected to this truck is still present on this truck. It was in the dry desert west of San Diego CA since new and it shows, no rust or rust repair anywhere, ever. Perfect floors, rockers, cab corners, body mounts, frame, all sheet metal - you name it. None nicer in this regard, I’ve owned several. This truck was treated to a frame off restoration and “resto-mod” by a professional shop in CA and now has power disk brakes, power rack and pinion steering, all new suspension parts and brakes and more. a pro built Ford 400 small block that belted out 416HP and 520 ftlbs of torque AT THE REAR WHEELS on a chassis dyno, pump gas, no special tuning. I have the dyno sheet and I was there... backed by the bulletproof C6 transmission, also rebuilt. Headers and 2-1/2” dual exhaust give this truck an amazing sound, just a bit on the loud side. Big Holley double pumper carb with an electric choke make starts easy in any weather. Runs and drives beautifully but step into the throttle very softly or you will spin the tires every time. Very docile and well mannered, even driven through the bombed out streets of Waterbury plonking along light to light several times without missing a beat. Beautiful high quality body and paint and brand new 17” torque thrust wheels and new tires along with a FLAWLESS grille and bumper with brand new chrome make this truck a real show stopper. Nearly flawless bed left unfinished so the truck can actually be used. All lights work, speedometer works, gauges work, 60 pounds of oil pressure, massive dual electric fans on a switch and a massive 4 gallon radiator keep it cool. All glass is perfect, new rubber around all, new felts, door seals, etc. Doors open and close like they did in 1961. Build cost exceeded $40K. Approximately 2,000 miles on the build. Ready to roll, drive anywhere at 75mph all day long. Sold with an open California title. Inspection welcome before making an offer. I’m happy to talk to you, just message your phone number. Get a quote from Montway.com if you need shipping. I will do my best to help with a handoff. NO TRADES. Please please do not bother me unless you are serious about BUYING the truck and don’t make an offer if you can’t follow through! I have chassis pictures but for people who intend to BUY only.
